The dinner and the breakfast were delicious. The location was great - the town was charming - and the walk along the Wye River was lovely. Our hosts, Tony and Wendy were very friendly and helpful - helping us find accomodations in Snowdonia for the following day. We would definitely return if we are in the area again.

We received a very warm welcome. Even though the pub was closed, the owner immediately said she'd make us dinner and we could get drinks whenever we were ready. Dinner was lovely. Our room was a very good size, with a large bathroom that had an amazing shower. Everything was clearly lovingly decorated. We had a good choice of items for a continental breakfast the next morning. We'll gladly return here!

Our hosts were extremely helpful and kindly drove us to and from Hay Festival when we discoveered that the bus service, featured on the Hay Festival website, was not working. Breakfast was delicious and was free on our first day to compensate for our difficult journey. They also cooked us pizza one evening.

Breakfast was delicious with Richard's own honey, home-made jam and local eggs. He was even able to offer decaff tea :) The bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding. The road by the cottage was very quiet so I had an excellent night's sleep. Richard was a great host all round, thank you.

Lovely facilities, really lovely and helpful staff, can tell they’re a group of very hard workers.
A really beautiful part of the world. The River Wye is stunning and the fishing is fantastic. The surrounding countryside is amazing and the whole place has a really warm and welcoming atmosphere to it. Paradise.

A lovely peaceful location surrounded by the best scenery and places of historic interest. The river is close by and the map suggests ample opportunities to walk and explore. Close to Hay on Wye (famous for its book shops and festival) as well as the Golden Valley and Black Mountains.
