Teapots for tea at breakfast. I am sure this saves the hotel considerable cost, instead of one tea-bag for every mug (rather than cup) of tea.
Breakfast was adequate and plentiful. We dined once in the hotel, on our first evening there, and the meal was nicely presented, well cooked and reasonable in quantity (not a huge portion for the beef that one of us had).
Spacious room with splendid sea views, although the uncovered balcony could not be used because of the inclement weather, most of the time. The space in the large bathroom could have been far better utilised. However, we had both a bath and a separate shower, which was good.
The location of the hotel was very central for our needs, with most places within easy walking distance.
With paid parking and free Wi-Fi throughout, The Hermitage Hotel is just metres from Bournemouth’s sandy beach. It has an award-winning restaurant, modern bedrooms and wonderful sea views.
