Fabulous location in the centre of Crickhowell. We used the hotel as an overnight base as we were visiting the Hay Literature Festival which is 30 minute drive away. Lovely, friendly greeting from the lady at reception who advised that we had been upgraded to a courtyard room. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated- very pleased.Good size bathroom well stocked with towels and a few toiletries.
We booked a table for an evening meal ( good job we booked, the restaurant was very busy). Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also very good. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a reasonable price and the food and staff was very good. Loved the location and it was different from the boring corporate hotels I normally stay in when working.

Very small room with hardly any surface areas to put things on. Resorted to using the cistern top for toiletries. Shower screen not clean and blind is broken. No spoon for tea and coffees. Mattresses poor quality.
We don’t normally bother writing a review if standards aren’t great. But I think we were unlucky with our room as other guests seem happier according to the reviews.
