Host went above and beyond for personal touches. I had mentioned we were there for my friend’s birthday and we went back out and came back to a wee tray with a card and 2 mini bottles of Prosecco and chocolates. My friend really appreciated that thought.

Callander is fantastic, we love it so much we keep going back. Very friendly people, wonderful location, great eating at the pubs and restaurants, and you have local shops to purchase what you need. My only thing is be mindeful of where your staying as if you need peace and quiet ask what time the music finishes....just saying. My favourite is the all year round Christmas shop....you've got to go it's amazing!!!!

Callander is a town surrounded by exceptional beauty but like a lot of towns has suffered from the pandemic and economic turmoil. It needs you! Help Callander get back to a bustling tourist location. It is a place for all seasons.

Nice, very safe, well kept, small town with good shops & restaurants, not far from Stirling. Although Roman Camp Hotel is very secluded, it’s actually on the Main Street, on the banks of the river Teith.

Callander is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and walks. The fisheries are beautiful, plenty of benches to sit at and walks around it. I had a fish supper from the Frying Dutchman which was superb, and the second night ate at The Riverside Inn which was equally as delicious. All very good prices. The wine shops are lovely and little gifts shops and plenty of cafes.

Set in lovely grounds, this traditional ex shooting lodge is a very comfortable place to choose to stay in Callendar. close to the Crags and Bracklinn Falls walks and easy to walk into Callendar it is also very peaceful as set back from the road. With good parking and a casual restaurant in the grounds as well as the more formal dining area, this hotel has good facilities. The cooked breakfast is a good choice and staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent choice for Callendar and would highly recommend.

Example of a small hotel very friendly and helpful staff, had been before for a night out in callander but first time we have stayed.Had dinner in hotel and have to say it was perfect pub grub ,big plates or smaller if you wanted . Have to give a special mention to the staff member Rebecca who served us that night, between waiting tables and serving behind the bar in what was a fairly busy bar for a Monday night she carried it off with a smile, take a bow Rebecca 🙇‍♀️. Definitely be back.

The Lodge House is a very comfortable, well maintained cottage with a large enclosed garden. It is well equipped with spacious rooms, modern furnishings, a large Smart TV, and fabulous walk-in shower. We were fortunate enough to enjoy good weather so spent time in the garden; its secure boundaries allowed our dog to wander freely without us being concerned. We explored the local area of Callander, which has a good variety of shops and walking routes.

Muriel was a fantastic host. The room was very clean and cozy and mine had a huge window that opened onto trees, which was both pleasant and great for privacy. Breakfast was plentiful and good. I liked the location off the main road but still very walkable to everything. I found parking in the driveway to be easy and convenient. Callander is a small town but has plenty of eating options and is close to lots of great attractions.

Very Friendly and helpful Staff. Dinner was served in the bar area but, as its a sports bar type pub/hotel, my husband was delighted to be able to watch a football match while we ate. Curry was excellent. Breakfast was excellent, full Scottish and cooked just right. Room small but comfortable and we slept well. We would be happy stay again
