Check in was welcoming, room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Just what we needed after a long day. Dinner was delicious. Homemade lasagne was delicious & liked that the salad was separate. All the staff were polite & helpful. Breakfast was a choice of cooked full English, Arbroath Smokie or Cold ham with cereals, tea/coffee & juices. Cooked breakfast was fantastic & served by a lovely waitress.

Brilliant location for Carnoustie and golf course. Friendly and helpful staff in bar, restaurant and reception. Highly recommend the Spa after a golf round as the treatment was great and welcomed after a round. Food in restaurant for dinner was also great.
Less than half a mile from Carnoustie Golf Course, the 19th Hole Hotel provides spacious rooms with 32-inch TVs and cosy bathrobes. Guests can enjoy full Scottish breakfasts.
The Kinloch Arms is a stunning 1800s-style building with many of it's original features. It has a large restaurant, free Wi-Fi and a bar, and is close to championship golf courses and the coast.

Was a bit dubious as I walked through the entrance, but once in my room I was happy. The room was a really good size, very clean and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. The shower was great, easy to use and plenty of room to move around. There were complimentary toiletries, and a large bottle of corked water, which was great. As the hotel is part of the pub I was afraid that it might be really noisy, but honestly it was really quiet, there was a football match on the Saturday and even though you could hear the laughing and cheering from the revellers, it was no bother at all.

If you want a quiet break or a base for travelling in Angus / Fyfe its great. Carnoustie itself only has about 4 good places to eat. The High street shops are still holding on - but typically only open from 10-4.
Public transport links are not great but if you have a car there's plenty of parking (and EV charging usually available).

The beach area, golf course and immediate surroundings were impressive, good restaurants located in those areas.
The town Main Street was very disappointing, this comment being based on previous descriptions of the town.
People were friendly, and helpful, particularly the local library staff with local tourist information available.

The staff as always were attentive, helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. The food was as good as it always is. Cooked to perfection and presented well. There are plenty things to do. Lots of walks in either direction from the hotel. A walk along the High Street looking at some independent shops. You can also take the train to Dundee, only 12 minutes, and see many cultural experiences. Or, just shop. Alternatively you can go North to Aberdeen and enjoy a day out there.

Staff from check in to check out were superb.
Check in desk, bar staff, waiting staff and spa staff all very friendly and helpful.
For anyone who doesn't know the hotel, it is ideal for Championship golf, for walking on the beach and surrounding area and for relaxation by the sea.
Hotel food is great but there are a few restaurants in Carnoustie or if you want the city, Dundee is 10 miles away, and full of restaurants..
Breakfast and dinner were cooked when ordered , so arrived fresh at the table. Choice was excellent, portions were huge. Rooms were clean and modern. Bedding was crisp white cotton, beds were comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided free of charge. There was a mini bar but we preferred the hotel bar.
Every member of staff we dealt with were really friendly and could not have done more to make us welcome.
We really enjoyed our visit and would stay again if we came back to Carnoustie.
This was probably the best Hotel/B&B I've stayed in. The staff were beyond exceptional. Extremely friendly and Reggie the dog tops it all. The breakfast was fantastic, for some of the days of our stay I had to leave early but as one of the options was for a takeaway breakfast, I was able to take a warm breakfast roll with me for those days and it was ready and waiting for when I left. The views from the location are also beautiful. All in all I would return again!
We only spent one night at the Carnoustie hotel. We arrived late after a long journey. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and made us and our dog welcome. The room was a good size as was the bathroom very comfortable and clean.
As we had our dog staff asked if we would like to have breakfast in the room which was a great idea it arrived at 7:45 as requested. The cooked breakfast was absolutely fabulous served with toast jams tea and juice.
The hotel was my base for exploring Carnoustie and Monifieth …..I walked from Carnoustie to Monifieth.
My single room was clean and comfortable, bed comfy and a hot shower. All crockery etc was cling wrapped for Covid safety.
My vegetarian breakfast in the morning was amazing, beautifully cooked and so much of it.
The staff were nice and Carole in particular was helpful with tourist information as well as being the excellent chef !
This cottage is a lovely little find, has everything you need, towels, iron, ironising board, oven, gas hob and kettle. Just to name a few items. Very comfortable, the family that own it are lovely and helpful. It’s not to far from lots of walking areas and the beach. Plus close to places of interest in Dundee and fife and also the golf course at Carnoustie. There is a farm cafe down the road which sells lovely cakes and scones.
Having never visited Carnoustie before and not being a golfer, I was looking for a hotel on the coast with a swimming pool and near to town, this hotel fitted those criteria. Simple requirements, great pity as although they were advertised, some were not available.
everything was first class ,the room was perfect it was like being in a 5 star hotel ,towels dressing gowns ,slipers etc ,good view of the sea even had binoculars in the room ,the breakfasr was perfect as much as you can eat ,will go again if iam in Dundee
Perfect for us. Lovely, quaint. clean room with a wonderful view. Excellent hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed. Yummy breakfast! A great location in the beautiful village of Carnoustie… plenty of on-site parking.
We had a great stay at The station Hotel. Had a nice big clean room, enjoyed a lovely breakfast & dinner - recommend the steak pie! The staff were excellent, they were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
Great little hotel located a few steps from the train station. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. After dinner we walked the nearby golf course. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back one day.
The staff were very happy to see us and very helpful in imparting information about the hotel and that if we had any questions, someone from the staff would be on hand to answer any questions.
This is a minimalist hotel well located in downtown Carnoustie - friendly staff and an easy check in experience. There is a grocery store just down the street that is very convenient.
Lyn is a wonderful host who is very responsive and great to deal with. The Old Manor is nicely appointed & enjoyed the beautiful sea views. Breakfast was delicious every morning
Great place for golf trips, 2 minutes from Carnoustie Golf Course and 40 minutes by car from St Andrews, really easy in and out. Great bar, full of friendly locals and golfers.
