We all loved staying at this apartment. The kitchen is equipped well enough for a short stay property , the beds are comfy and there are direct trains to Edin and Glasgow. Definitely recommend it and would stay again!

Silviya and her team were so welcoming, friendly, smiley and kind. They went the extra mile- meeting us when we checked in to give our children Easter eggs.
The tea, coffee, and toiletries were a lovely touch and much appreciated.
Silviya sent lovely messages offering any help she could such as where to eat or visit and if anything was missing from the apartment.
As well as a goodbye message. Again- a touch that not all hosts do 😀
The location was perfect for us, Our girls (2,7 and 14 years) loved watching the trains.
We travelled around each day and was lovely to come back to the accommodation which was comfortable and warm with everything we needed.
There is a local park, a Morrisons and a pub. And a short drive to lots of stunning scenery. We particularly loved Loch Leven (about an hour away) where we got a boat over to the Leven Castle where Mary Queen of Scott's was imprisoned and New Lanark with the Falls of Clyde.

Property was large and mix between modern and traditional. Wooden floors and open stone work was nice.

3 adults, 5 nights, 1 and a half rolls of toilet paper. 5 nights, 2 pieces of foil in the oven. 5 nights, no napkins or paper towels. For what we paid, there probably should have been a few more things. The only few parking spots were not available due to city work, not the owners fault, but we still had to park a bit further than the elderly ladies needed to walk.

Carnwarth is a gateway to other things.
Carnwarth is a gateway to other things. Apart from a cracking golf course, it doesn’t offer much. But it’s location between Glasgow, Edinburgh and Lanark make it a convenient location to set up base camp. I came during lockdown, so I was glad the property gave so much, as anything else would’ve made it a forgettable trip. But this cottage is so easy to just chill and relax in.

Really could do with a facelift.
Really could do with a facelift. The town itself is run down and dirty. It is however a good base to tour the surrounding areas like the Polish Map in Eddleston, Peebles and Penicuik, Bigger and Edinburgh. A lot cheaper to stay in hotel here than in Edinburgh! Keep that in mind folks for the Edinburgh Festival in August.
If only other hotels could do the same. Freshly cooked food and professionally served and matched the order from the previous evening. The system enables the hotel to ensure that their customers are impressed. There was no lift to the accommodation. I am currently suffering from sciatica. The proprietor IMMEDIATELY arrange a different room to minimise m I would rte this as excellent +y walking AND she also carried our bags to our room (Her other staff were fully occupied with a function) I would rate the service as EXCELLENT +
i was greeted with a warm welcome from Ray (Hotel Owner) who booked me in and escorted me to the room, the first impression was the cleanliness of the room , bathroom these where spotless. I had an evening meal which i thoroughly enjoy there is also a good selection of beers. The breakfast is piping hot, they take your order as you book in for the breakfast which is a good idea and the service was excellent from Jen and her team.
Excellent service from the staff and owners who were very welcoming. The food was great and timely and the locals welcomed us as well and made us feel part of their world. The hotel itself has lots of little snugs and lounges to enjoy. Parking was a doddle and the food and alcohol (I had a few different types of alcohol as it was a bit if a celebration) was reasonably priced.
The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had .... generous and very well cooked. Dinner was also very good. The staff were very well trained, attentive and friendly .... and the exterior of the hotel was really pretty. The room was quite small but adequate and had everything, and more, to make our stay very comfortable. Overall, the hotel is highly recommended.
Staff were very friendly and flexible. We were on a cycling tour and got a bit wet, so were asked if we wanted to dry our clothes in the hotel tumble dryer, needless to say we did! Restaurant served an excellent evening meal. Good breakfast too.
The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely cosy hotel and room and bathroom were fresh and clean, Beds very comfortable.
Everything, it was an amazing find, a really great small hotel. Helpful, friendly staff, great food and immaculately clean; oh, and a very comfortable bed.
