Love how unique it was. Is in a beautiful destination, where you have your own access to your bedrooms with your own bathroom. The spa bath was lovely literally just like a jacuzzi. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Lovely Georgian country house. The staff were friendly and in the main efficient and polite. They worked hard on a busy Valentine evening and we felt well looked after (But see below). Bed comfy and the restaurant food was very well presented and of a high quality. Drinks menu good and wine list reasonable and good overall.

We stayed at the start of the summer holidays and hence were caught up in heavy traffic on the A20 enroute to Dover. Apparently that happens quite frequently, so factor this in to travel times. The Bowl Inn is not actually in Charing but about 2 miles from the village down a narrow and windy country lane. The pub is on its own with hardly any other buildings within walking distance. Charing itself is an extremely attractive village and well worth a visit for an hour or so.AnneUnited Kingdom

Great spot to use as a base for touring around Kent & East Sussex. Great food and very comfortable accommodation. Super friendly and cosy place! If we lived close by this would be our local for weekend meals/visits. It is what I expect a pub to be like!
