Lovely property in the back streets of Whitehaven, from the minute we walked in everyone and everything was perfect, the room was lovely the bar area and restaurant was also lovely.
The staff were like a well oiled military machine wearing their earphones whilst moving around. Nothing was any trouble for them.
Right on the seafront in St Bees on the West Cumbrian Coast, Seacote Hotel features stunning sea views and a garden, just 6 miles from the Lake District National Park.

Check-in and out was really good, and the cottage was excellent exactly as it is in the pictures, it was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for a self-catering stay with parking at the roadside right outside.
Cleator village has no real amenities but is well-situated for trips to many of the Lake District attractions and the larger town of Cleator Moor is a five-minute drive where there are a number of hotels & pubs that do food & also some takeaway options and shops including a well-stocked CO-OP, I can recommend the Parkside Hotel, Parkside Rd, A5086 Cleator Moor CA25 5HF the homemade steak and ale pie was one of the best I have ever had, my wife had a huge 8oz burger which she said was really good and my son chose the chicken stuffed with haggis and wrapped in bacon served with peppercorn sauce on the side which he said was delicious. the staff were very friendly and attentive without being in your face so well worth a visit.

Th e town of Cleator is very small with only one shop on the main street. We had full board at our hotel and was glad as there was a small pub/restuarant about a mile away .Nothing to see or do at Cleator except walk round a small lake..Was able to visit Whitehaven which was only 15 minutes away by car and it was really nice with a harbour and a very interesting museum.

Ideal place to travel about from. Not really any places for shopping or eating out had to either eat in hotel or travel further away. Favourite place we traveled to was St Bees which has a great beach and the cafe there is ideal for dining

Not a lot to do in Cleator - we travelled around the wider area as part of our holiday and used the hotel in Cleator as a base.
Residential area only.
A small lake down the road but we didn't visit this.
Host was exceptional and quickly sorted out the fact that Booking.com hadn't passed on all of the relevant information. Location was really good for where I needed to be, all of the facilities were spot on, but I didn't get to try the bed as my dog wouldn't go upstairs so I slept on the couch. The cottage was warm and clean and the back yard neat and peaceful, Parking right outside and the hotel bar across the road was friendly and welcoming. Good wee spot.
Absolutely loved our stay at The Parkside which was welcoming, cosy and spotlessly clean. Our room was so pretty with lovely fabrics and textures, just like home from home with the most comfortable bed ever for a superb night's sleep. The food was delicious and well presented with an excellent menu selection and the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Add all this together with the fabulous staff, we had a superb stay at The Parkside Hotel.
The staff were absolutely wonderful, couldn't fault them - pleasant and helpful throughout the stay.
The grounds around the hotel were very pretty.
The mattress was pretty comfortable.
There was plenty of parking (certainly for how busy it was during our stay, anyway).
There weren't any stark issues re: cleanliness of the room itself.
Breakfast was exceptional and the hosts couldn't do enough for you. The bedroom was really comfortable and quiet.
The location of the hotel was just right being quite near to the attractions of the Lake District without the difficulties of parking in the busier areas. We certainly wouldn't hesitate in booking this accommodation again.
We had a lovely stay, although the hotel decor is a bit tired, if you look beyond this there is some beautiful furniture and fixtures
The staff are friendly and helpful and always had a Hello
The food was good quality and a good choice for the evening meal
The grounds are gorgeous and made for a nice walk in the evening
Really helpful and friendly staff, they all went out of their way to make sure my stay was pleasant. I liked the old style decor and paintings and the Italian Garden is fantastic for relaxing in the evenings. Good range of options for breakfast and the hotel bar has an excellent choice of drinks and snacks too.
Once a private residence, the hotel has a certain charm. Large dining room looking out on the lovely grounds. I enjoyed my breakfast and dinner. The staff was both friendly and helpful.
Lovely stay at Ennerdale Country House Hotel. Very friendly staff and a clean and spacious room. Great breakfast in the morning. Grounds an added bonus, especially with a dog!
The hotel is approximately 40 minutes by car from Wasdale Head (the start of a Scafell Pike ascent). The staff put extra effort in to help us celebrate our honeymoon.
