Paul was a great host, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful garden surroundings.
Catered for my dietary needs, buying gluten free bread, cake and porridge.
We had two rooms available for just us. Bedroom with on suite bathroom and a separate lounge room. Everything we needed was in our lounge. Use of Netflix and wire fi.
Water bed was great. Never slept in a water bed so was a bit of a laugh, till we got use to it. Plenty of pillows and towels available.
Bath bombs available for the bath. Lovely thought.
There was nothing we needed as Paul had thought of everything.

Loved the experience we had staying in this lovely apartment!
First of all it was clean! The nice details such as treats for children on the table, and milk in the fridge for tea and coffee, did make a difference!
And the owner definitely makes the experience nicer as he always was available and online to help with any questions.

Sandrine and Dominic were perfect hosts, friendly and ready to chat and inform when needed.
Our hosts were generous in stocking the fridge with a mug of milk, bottles of orange juice and water, as well as fruit and a selection of mini jam bottles for the croissants and filter coffee for breakfast!
The twin beds, at our request, were made up into a very comfortable and wide double/king size bed in which sleep was blissful. There were two armchairs at the foot of the bed for watching TV or reading.
Hafan Deg is in a small hamlet, with The Miner's Arms (no food during our visit as a chef is being sought) a one minute walk away and two other lovely pubs a short drive away that serve food.
The accommodation was composed of a spacious bedroom, another with 2 bunk beds and an adjoining small dining room.
Outside the bedroom was an inviting garden and decking with table and chairs and constant birdsong. You may, also, find yourself sometimes alternating in feeling you are invited guests in either an English country house or a 'maison secondaire' somewhere deep in the Normandy countryside - the place can have that effect on one.
If, like us, you have never heard of the Clwydian Range, then you, too, will discover it offers much for those seeking solace in an area of outstanding mountainous beauty as well as for seasoned hikers and cyclists. And then there are the not too distant towns with castles and beaches on the North Wales coastline...
Hafan Deg was a most serendipitous find, indeed. Merci/Thank you, Sandrine and Dominic!

Great views over towards the Wirral from the restaurant terrace. Our rooms were at the back, quiet (except for sounds from rooms overhead) with views of sheep in field. I would have liked some bottled water in the room. Convenient location for visiting family in Mold and touring the area. I would have like to stay longer to try the spa/gym. Our one meal at the restaurant in the evening was great and we liked the wine room - being able to look at the bottles to choose what we were going to have. Good vegan option too. Breakfast was a buffet - very average, fairly standard items available, bacon not great,. We really appreciated being able to ask for poached eggs - cooked to order and perfect. Overall very happy with our stay (a long weekend) - we would return.

I liked the fact it was close to my work, didn’t like the fact I had a very dated room, yet other guests have mentioned refurbished nice rooms on their reviews, and the price of £95 didn’t include breakfast,

The hotel was ideally suited for excursions along the coast between Chester and Llandudno (and beyond). In a three night stay, I enjoyed visiting the Conwy Valley, Bodnant Garden, several castles and Holywell, as well as Llandudno itself. The hotel was comfortable with a friendly welcome and good service. The quality of the meals was commendable.

As a single traveler I originally asked for single bed.
On arrival the receptionist noticed I used a walking stick .
She kindly relocated me on the ground floor to avoid stairs.
I appreciated this gesture.

The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and very helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
Room was large and comfortable as was the bathroom.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Lovely hotel, very friendly and professional staff. Nice, clean, modern room with comfy bed, good size bath and nice view overlooking the Estuary/Bay. Breakfast was excellent-I can honestly say that this was the best breakfast we ever had. Top quality food and plenty to chose from. Nothing was a trouble-asked for soya milk since I am allergic to dairy and staff fulfilled my request.
I have stayed in this hotel on a few occasions.
It ticks all the boxes for comfort with a good choice of quality food and drink.
Staff are excellent and willing to assist in whatever your requirements are.
Prices are reasonable.
I have recommended this establishment to many of my friends if they are wishing to stay in the area.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable, food and drink was lovely, staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. We went for a relaxing break and that's exactly what we had. Would recommend to anyone and will absolutely be back. Hospitality done right. 😀
Great hotel, staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was great and super clean. Location is perfect for exploring. Food was lovely, we ate in the restaurant which was great value for the quality of the food. Breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.
Breakfast was excellent. Service was exceptional. Only issue was dinner the previous night where I ordered salad and chicken and the salt on the chicken was way too much and salad dressing not enough. Other than that, this was a very good hotel
familiar with the hotel from previous visits, it was clean and tidy, staff were friendly, restaurant was very popular and my family recommend the food highly and I heard many diners complimenting the staff about the food
Good, roomy, modern bedroom and bathroom (quiet, at the back of the hotel, facing the hill side). Friendly helpful staff. Good food in the restaurant. Fast EV charging on site. Conveniently located for touring.
Staff were exceptionally friendly, great selection of beverages, food was amazing.
Amazing views on both sides of this hotel.
