Even though it's on the main road, access is round the back with the car park.
Ground floor accommodation was excellent and I was very happy to able park my motorbike right outside the door, away from the main road.

Giving easy access to Inverness, the Black Isle and the West coast, Contin is an ideal base for a Highland holiday. Contin itself is a beautiful spot and the staff from both the local shop and the hotel Coul House were welcoming and friendly.

Nice village shop. Friendly people.
Nice village shop. Friendly people. We went a run up Strathconon...a trip down memory lane for us both. We had eaten a large lunch at Dornoch on the way south, so took in snacks from Tesco in Dingwall. Plenty of places to eat in Dingwall and Strathpeffer.
The location was an ideal location for our hillwalking holiday. The budget twin room had a microwave and fridge which allowed us to have a meal in our room after a long day on the hills. The continental breakfast offered a good variety of cereals, fruit, etc. The owner was very friendly and happy to talk to us about our days walking on the hills. We have stayed at the Achility Guest House before when walking in the area and would be happy to return if walking in the area again.
This is a superb little hotel, tucked away in the countryside near Contin, with beautiful grounds and gardens. The food is all homemade and it is exceptional - the kitchen team does a fantastic job, and Stuart, Susannah, and the other members of the team ensure that your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. If you are looking for a real treat, book the Coul House Hotel.
This is a stately former hunting lodge built by the McKenzie Clan in the early 1800's, and it is gorgeous. Rooms are lovely, the place is old, but fabulous, and it is a lovely place to linger all day. I spent the afternoon in the oak paneled bar by the fire place reading a good book while drinking a wee dram of fine whiskey. Breakfast is outstanding, and the restaurant at night is very good.
Very nice place for families with kids, plenty of green spaces and a lot of to do like cycling, archery, climbing, etc. The owner, family and staff are very friendly and helpful, trying to make your stay the best experience possible. The hotel is simple, but very clean and tidy. Full of charming. Just remember to take a insect repellent.
Beautiful accommodation in a stunning location. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. Fiona and Derek have put much thought and effort into creating a most desirable guest house which rivals many top class hotels. Such a warm welcome and delicious breakfasts too.
Fiona & Derek are wonderful and engaging hosts. Breakfasts were made to order with such variety and great conversation. We were so fortunate that we arrived the day of the local Highland Games for nearby Strathpeffer. What a wonderful treat! One of our favorite stays in Scotland.
It’s 20 miles from Inverness, well worth the drive. Hidden gem with beautiful dinning & breakfast room. Elegant decor and gorgeous grounds. Their Fairy walk is fun for all ages. We loved watching bunnies chase around at twilight. Food & staff superb.
The breakfast was a basic choice but you got as much as you wanted and it was all freshly made. Sandy the host was brilliant and really friendly with everyone in our party Inc children. The other staff where friendly also and very helpful.
The location was beautiful - on a quiet lane overlooking a beautiful loch. The room was huge and well decorated. Breakfast was super. Hosts like old friends.
Very friendly and helpful host. Guest house was excellent and we loved their continental breakfast. Thank you very much for accomodating us for an extra night.
