There is quite a bit of history to Corby if you are prepared to walk about the old town with its quaint old buildings and take the time to read the various notice boards of a heritage nature. The central park and boating lake are well worth a walk round and there is an excellent cafe with a varied menu next to the lake. Nearby you have Rockingham Castle and gardens ( entry charge applicable ) and Kirby Hall( English Heritage ) both well worth a visit. A little farther north there is Rutland Water with its boat trips and watersports areas and the old market town of Oakham nearby.

We had wonderful staff and they were amazing ,especially Melissa who went above and beyond for me,on the night and she’s such a lovely girl.
A cooked breakfast isn’t available,we only found this out on the day of check in that a continental breakfast was the only selection...
I would have liked a bigger selection for the continental breakfast ,it wasn’t well stocked,my guests were disappointed, and hungry,
although we did leave to have a breakfast at a local weatherspoons

Hotel was too far outside the town centre.
Hotel was too far outside the town centre. To walk to the centre was 40 minutes. Nothing much to do around Corby. Had to rely on transport from my friends.
I wouldn't be in a hurry to return to Corby. I will be staying in Northampton 30 minutes drive away or in Birmingham 1 hour drive away next time.

Corby is more or less an industrial place.
Corby is more or less an industrial place. There is absolutely no interesting points in the town itself, apart from an incredible skatepark, Europe`s largest. Nevertheless, there are many interesting sights in driving distance. The small villages in the area are just adorable.
The owners were so lovely, genuine and knowledgeable about the local area. Felt like family more than anything! The house and garden was incredible. The Paddy Barn was so homely, the bed was comfortable and the room cosy and warm. They were VERY dog friendly. They provided home made jam and marmalade which was lovely. I'm sure if we had asked for anything it would have been provided. We were fortunate to a slightly later check out.
The lady at the reception who checked us in was great - she looked after us so well and we were served at the bar with a warm welcome. Absolutely great customer service and a 5 star award. Hotel and facilities were great - but its the staff/team that makes the stay a memorable one.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated as 'important guests' help with the luggage, to the room. Beautifully styled room. Cleanliness was immaculate. The hotels facilities were amazing. The dining room, hss everything on offer for breakfast. We decided to stay longer
Easy to find, plenty of free parking.
Easy check in, nice sized room and good shower.
Very pleasant staff, had food in the bar nice range of choice. Had the Burger which was very tasty.
Breakfast was very good,.One of the best I've had in hotels lately.
I have stayed here several times and know I will get a clean, comfortable room at a very reasonable price.
The location suits the purpose of my visit and the free public parking just round the corner is a big plus point.
The hotel is always spotlessly clean
Could check in and leave when I wanted, many thanks to Barry and Diane. Nice and quiet location, betwixt Kettering and Corby. Milk/butter/coffee/tea and a loaf of bread provided by hosts.
Very nice place to saty in,clean, tidy, quiet and close to all what I need when I am there.
I have been there 2 times and going back again next week.
I highly recommend Corby Guest HOUSE.
The room was smaller than the one we stayed in last time we visited. The coffee/tea/hot water area should be moved to the restaurant vice the bar. Overall, a nice experience.
Nice and quiet on an evening, located close to Corby centre for the gym and supermarkets, bathrooms were plentiful and kept tidy and clean, rooms were comfortable and clean
Have previously stayed at The Saxon Crown Hotel and have always found the rooms to be very spacious and clean.
The staff in general are very pleasant and helpful.
The location was perfect for our needs. We were in Corby visiting family. It is a nicely furnished house and is ideal for a family stopover if visiting the area
