I have stayed in the Mash Tun on numerous occasions and always have enjoyed my stay, due to the friendliness of staff etc. and the excellent food and room comfort.
However on this recent visit, the only positive was the room comfort.
The Station Hotel is situated in Rothes and features a garden and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Glen Grant Whisky Distillery is a 2-minute walk away.

A good location for visiting whiskey distilleries. The host is very welcoming, food is great.
Craigallachie itself is very small. If you are out and about in the car it is perfect for you. The Highlander Inn was a great place to eat. Aberlour just 2 miles away was in walking distance and the walk along the river was nice. You had to walk along the main road to get to the path though. The cottage is just off the main road but it is quite peaceful. You don`t hear the traffic inside really. Unfortunately we didn`t get to many tourist places as they were still closed.

Close to lots of things to do indoors and out.
Close to lots of things to do indoors and out. Enjoyed the trip even though most of the distilleries were closed. Had a great visit to the cooperage and lots of walks which were accessible and manageable by us.

Very relaxed and relaxing.
Very relaxed and relaxing. Friendly laid back staff, no fuss about checkin or checkout times, or about dogs being a bit boisterous. The restaurant is informal, in a bar setting, and the food was good standard. Lovely walks nearby, just right for a short winter break with roaring log fire and a cosy whisky bar.

A relaxing stay but we did have to eat in more than anticipated as it was difficult to get booked in to any of the local restaurants/pubs. We managed to get booked in to the Copper Dog on our last night and really enjoyed it.
Small hotel that provides excellence size of room, high ceiling, large bathroom (we booked family room), adequate furnitures in the room. They have a small kitchen, which makes pretty good dinner and breakfast. I am a frequently traveler, and not staying small hotel or Airbnb room, I booked this room based on the pictures showed on the web, and price. I didn’t expect the facility was really nice, like a good hotel (not a motel!) room. Highly recommend.
The location was wonderful as it was a haven hidden away from any busy areas. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Scott was more than helpful with information about the area and shared valuable and interesting information about the various distilleries in the area. The breakfast went beyond our expectations. My husband isn't a traveler, but wants to return to Craigellachie in the future. An added plus was the ample parking space.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The location, being so close to the Speyside Way is absolutely perfect for a walk and also if you have a dog. The wonderful example of Thomas Telford’s engineering - the Spey Bridge at Craigellachie is also a short walk from the Highlander Inn. The food and the vast selection of malt whiskies was just a delight. This will now be our preferred place to stay when visiting the Speyside area.
Superb find. Fabulous hotel with excellent food and exceptionally helpful staff. Restaurant serves exceptional food at very good prices. Best hotel food I've had in years. Room charming and very comfortable. Has an excellent guest lounge and a separate whisky bar worth visiting in itself. Directly adjacent to trails leading down to the river Spey.
From the arrival at the hotel our expectations were exceeded. The hotel was set in a stunning location, with the decor to match. We had an evening meal on arrival, which was excellant, followed by a long evening in the whisky bar tasting some exceptional single malts. All the staff were very friendly.
Exceptional! Great location, food and above all the Whisky bar is the best I have been all my life. Rooms are very clean and spacious. If you plan to visit the Speyside for the Whisky trail or anything else, I highly recommend this hotel. Price maybe higher than most hotels but its really worth it
Quaint little hotel in Craigellachie with an incredible whisky selection - Tatsuya and the team were so welcoming and the bar is a great place to try whiskies and chat to strangers from around the world. I will definitely be staying again when I’m in the area!
We had delicious breakfasts at the Craigellachie Hotel with lots of choices of food and drinks.
Lots of fruits, yogurts, juice plus cereals and pastries. The hot breakfasts were also excellent.
