Dinner in the restaurant was absolutely lovely really good food and plenty of options if you are gluten free! Beautiful presentation and great tasting food. The room itself wasn't too bad - very tidy however it's very compact.

The cottage is incredibly comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The weather was awful but it didn't matter at all as we were so happy to spend time inside.

A wee hidden gem the pod was perfect and the location also. We had a great stay nice and peaceful. The added bonus was catching the sunrise in the morning and an awesome starry night. Not a bad part to mention.

Cumnock is centrally located and can travel to Ayr or Kilmarnock or to Glasgow and further north. There's not many shops but what is there is varied. The people make it what it is ,always ready to answer questions and lend a hand when needed.

Cumnock is a small town with limited amenities. There are a few bars and a supermarket. There is also a Outlet store not far away which is worth a look. An hour by bus to Ayr . Locals were very friendly ( as always seems the case in Scotland)

The hotel was excellent value, had friendly welcome from receptionist, parked in their private car park, felt very comfortable as single female staying there one night. Breakfast was perfect and served in good time.
This was our first time in Scotland and we did not expect the beautiful treatment we received at Royal Hotel. The staff were so lovely, understanding, helpful, kind and friendly. They honestly made our stay so amazing, did everything to accommodate for a disabled guest and made it easy. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant interior was modern, beautiful and had a peaceful energy to it. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much to all staff, especially Rori and Lynsey. We’ll definitely be back.
The staff at the Dumfries Arms Hotel could not have been better, particularly Lorna on reception who went above and beyond to assist us with taxis to and from our evening in New Cumnock. Staff in the restaurant were also extremely pleasant and courteous. We had dinner, which was very tasty and promptly served, and reasonably priced. Breakfast was well presented, prompt and cooked perfectly. Altogether a very pleasant stay.
