We had to make a last minute booking so no choice of room. However ground floor room was well designed and comfortable. Good quality linen, towels and toiletries. Excellent choice of breakfast. All cooked items freshly made. Good lunch too. The staff were all very welcoming and customer focused.

Very clean, room was spotless. All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of options available. Location perfect for using park and ride to the city centre, really straight forward and only a few mins drive to.

A nice room, comfortable. Breakfast could have done with a couple more choices such as fruit salad, but otherwise OK. A slightly misleading description on the Booking.com website led me to check whether all rooms were accessible via the lift. A response was received very quickly, and indeed our room (and as far as I could see all rooms) were indeed accessible by lift.

It’s a very pretty village and there are some great pubs and places to eat . It has great access to good walks by the Thame. There is a little shop which has everything you might need if visiting . The abbey is wonderful to see and often has various things going on .

Unfortunately we arrived quite late so not really able to explore the village, though we did have a walk around the grounds of the Abbey. We would have liked to visit the Astin Martin museum though found out it was actually closed on Sundays. Will definitely visit the area again, perhaps in the warmer months.

Very interesting historic village.
Very interesting historic village. Little through traffic thanks to the bypass so quiet. Dorchester Abbey is well worth a visit. Lovely walks all around, lots of footpath signs. A 10 minute easy walk brings you to the bypass where you can catch a frequent bus service into Oxford/Wallingford, and the buses run until early morning!

It was our first visit there and we were pleasantly surprised how beautiful this village was, full of old traditional charm and quaint cottage style houses. There were a few pubs there offering a variety of food and drinks. We really enjoyed the fish platter at The George Inn as their Friday offer. We had a pleasant walk around the village and visited the Old Abbey.

The minimal staff and owner were lovely, helpful and friendly.
This establishment has so much potential but needs to address staffing situation. There was a long list of staff vacancies in the toilets which clearly speaks volumes.
Our room was super and clean. Great shower and tea/coffee making facilities. Comfortable bed. Beautiful location. We would go again as long as we were assured of a decent menu... and a chef!
Car park is located at the rear, entrance to the hotel through double electric glass sliding doors to a very warm welcome. The room was large with a large ensuite bathroom too. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening and the food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The sea bass was large and beautifully cooked, the Gnocchi with Pulled Pork was melt in your mouth. Breakfast was equally good.
Such a welcoming check in. Jonathan was very helpful about availability of taxis (no availability!) My main issues with hotel rooms is usually not enough milk in the room to have more than one hot drink each and towels not big enough, however, not at The White Hart. More than enough milk supplied and towels were bath sheets and very fluffy. Breakfast menu was very comprehensive and food was delicious.
All the basics were fine. Apparently the Chef had recently walked out so there were no evening meals available which forced us into the George Hotel just up the road where the food and service was excellent so this turned out to be a blessing in disguise
It was overall reasonable value for money
Great setting, very good service and helpful staff. Pleased they have such a spacious car park . Modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Very good supper and breakfast - again attended by good and attentive team. Wonderful to stay in such an individual hotel with all its comforts.
A beautifully redone inn. The staff (and particularly Amy the manager) were excellent. Absolutely delightful way to enjoy history and heritage in a small English village. The rooms are comfortable well appointed could not ask for more. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Beautiful, quaint hotel in a small village near to Abingdon. Not too far off the A34, so really convenient for us to break our journey further north. Great value for money. Room was comfortable, breakfast was tasty, staff were really friendly.
Breakfast was excellent!!!, many choices and good different options. great service. I would go back if I need an hotel in same area. I will recommend this hotel to y friends and family.
Breakfast and dinner were both amazing. Convenient parking. Ground floor room in stables as requested. Perfect location for Oxfordshire if you have a car.
