We didn’t have dinner unfortunately but breakfast was delicious!
The little touches were lovely… old fashioned shot drink, fresh shortbread and chocolates.

Dornoch is such a wonderful town.
Dornoch is such a wonderful town. I was amazed by the architecture from various periods but the Georgian and Edwardian stood out and looked stunning in red sandstone! The castle hotel bar is a must see, also the cathedral where Madonna got married to Guy Ritchie and also Elon Musk got married there too! The beech walks and also the Golf course, rated as the number 1 golf course in Scotland (I spoke to golfers at this festival who gave me their honest opinions) with a links style supposedly better than St Andrews! Although I was there for the local whisky festival, the people were so pleasant and made you feel so welcome and the hotel/ pubs were outstanding with the accompanying food menu's were superb.

Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach.
Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach. The Museum and Heritage Trail are very interesting and well worth the time. The cathedral is worth a visit and there are some interesting shops to explore. And we noticed an electric car charging point! We only stayed one night but it would have been better to have stayed for two as we didn't have enough time to visit all the attractions.

Very enjoyable, staying in a castle felt special and exclusive and staff were friendly and professional. The food was amazing and also special. Dornoch itself has lovely shops and the Castle Hotel is right in the centre with its own parking.
The location is very good, in a quiet street across from a church and at the end of the Main Street which has all the bars and restaurants etc within a 15 min walk. Breakfast was freshly made and excellent. There are only two rooms so its very peaceful and the host was so friendly. Parking is nearby in the church car park and free. We were there for a golf break and Royal Dornoch is a 15 min walk away , with Golspie , Tain and Brora all within a short drive. All should be played if you're a golf fan.
Lovely cottage with everything you could need. Kim provided some local produce for breakfast which was very thoughtful (and delicious). You can tell that Kim has put a lot of thought and care into the place and that translates into a great experience, no cheap old dodgy pans or blunt bread knives here but high quality amenities. Highly recommend if you're looking to stay in Dornoch.
Everything! Dee and Nigel were excellent hosts and provided us with an exceptional, friendly and welcoming service - nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful rooms with a view, very comfy beds and en suites with lots of little personal touches. Breakfast was great, very fresh and tasty. If we're ever in the area again we will definitely go back to Heartseed House (if we can get in!)
Everything... the property was in excellent condition with everything you could want. The situation was perfect with just a 5 mins walk to centre of Dornoch. The views were lovely and it was very peaceful. The host (Chris) was very helpful and friendly. We loved it there and couldnt fault it at all. Would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Dornoch.
WELL WE CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT IN ARE YEARS OF TRAVELLING , THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST B&B WE HAVE STAYED IN !!!!!!! CLEANLINESS WAS 2ND TO NONE & THE FOOD & SERVICE WAS 5 STAR HOTEL MATERIAL . LOCATION WAS GREAT FOR DORNOCH BEECH. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!!!!!!! WE WILL WITH OUT DOUBT BE STAYING THERE WHEN WERE IN THAT AREA . THANK YOU DEE & NIGEL !!!!!! REGARDS JOHN & JAN
Decor was on the whole extremely good, a lot of what you might expect from a Highland hotel, but mostly very well done. Staff were very good, friendly and professional. The bedroom was very large and again well decorated. Some comments later about food availability but what we did receive especially for dinner was excellent.
Really lovely hotel. Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable bed. Amazing bathroom! Spotless!! Very friendly staff. Great service. Breakfast was delicious!! Fabulous views from the dining room. Enjoyed sitting in the lounge in the evening with a G&T after a lovely afternoon tea.
the rooms were spacious, very clean with comfy beds. the location was fantastic to get to the golf club and the town. the owners were both lovely, very welcoming and cooked a nice breakfast for us each day. we really enjoyed our stay and if we are ever staying in dornoch again we will definitely stay here again.
The fact that it was dog friendly was really helpful, as we wanted our dog to come along and experience the NC 500 with us. It was a cute BNB, could use some updating in the rooms but it was comfortable enough.
The service was amazing throughout. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The owner even let us park our motorbike in the compound at the back of the hotel. Lovely stay for a couple of nights!
beautiful old building, super sweeping staircase and nice public areas.
clean and comfy bed.
lovely, lovely staff doing their best to keep everything ticking over.
the restaurant serves great food. best restaurant food we had in Scotland. the cozy, old atmosphere of the bar/lounge. Large lounge for hotel residents.
