I am very biased as I lived and worked in Duns for 4 years in fact I was married to a local girl in Duns church. It is a small friendly town and welcomes a large number of visitors. We chose Duns because of the Jim Clarke museum and had no preconceptions of the town. At first it seemed rather tired and run down but improved over the 5 days we stayed there. I walked the dog a lot so got to know the town fairly well. Lovely park, good walking near Duns castle and friendly people. We ate at the Black Bull, a friendly pub with good food reasonably priced and friendly locals. lovely quaint wee town, very friendly people! Nice choice of coffee shops considering it's a rather small place also nice to support small family businesses! Lots of places of interest in and around the town also lots of places to visit a short drive away!!
