It was obvious the hotel was undergoing refurbishment but there was no noise or dirt from this. The reception, bar and restaurant areas were completed and were very well refurbished with lovely furnishings. The staff were all very polite and friendly. The bedroom was still awaiting refurbishment but despite this was clean and was sufficient for our needs as a base to sleep. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was very enjoyable. The meals available on an evening were enjoyable and reasonably priced, though there weren't many options available at the moment.

Lovely setting. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and fruit available anytime was excellent and appreciated. Bedroom comfortable and clean. We will stay again.

I took my husband here for his 50th birthday- we had a suite which was brilliant in size and comfort. The restaurant was brilliant for dinner and breakfast and all the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend!
