The grounds are superb, really beautiful. The room was clean and the afternoon tea was fine.

The Board Inn met all my requirements for the area that I wanted to visit. The facility is a mid 18th Century Inn that has been modernised to a high and comfortable standard. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed all the meals that I ate there. The breakfasts were excellent. The evening meals were all of what I might term "high standard bar meals with plenty of choice:" the prices were very good. My room was clean, tidy and comfortable though space was a little "tight" when all my luggage was inside.
Lealholm itself is a quiet, small rural village in North Yorkshire though the road traffic can seem very busy. There is a small post office, a general store and a garage/filling station as well as a small shop selling sandwiches and cakes. There are also several small tea shops but visitors should note that these may not always be open for business when they want them to be. That said my visit did rather border on being "out of season."
The Witching Post Inn, a property with a garden, is situated in Whitby, 30 km from Dalby Forest, 37 km from Flamingo Land Theme Park, as well as 39 km from Peasholm Park.

Loved every aspect of it; the place, the location, the people, food etc. Would stay again, but would book through the hotel and not Booking.com as there are still unresolved refund issues there.

This is one of the loveliest shepherds huts I’ve ever stayed in, everything you need and so cosy and tranquil, a proper little hideaway gem, it’s surroundings are private and romantic and the hot tub on the decking finished it off with perfection

Great views, very peaceful and quiet.
Great views, very peaceful and quiet. Had access to microwave and fridge, and wifi but no phone signal. Towels can be hired, but we brought our own. Not easy to find, you really do need the directions given when booking. Looks like a great place for walking holidays.

No towels. Can only communicate with owners y email!!!
No towels. Can only communicate with owners y email!!! And the reception was rubbish. It says you are on a working farm as if it's a bonus but you are well away from farm. The post code on the sat nav doesn't take you to the far. I drove round and round for over an hour can't they put up a few signs at junctions that would help? Ow er was a bit weird and not at all friendly.

Excellent location and a quiet place for couples to relax and get away from the presures of everyday life. Research into location via google earth needs to be carried out prior to visit as farm is remotely located. Drive slowly as oncoming vehicles can appear without warning around blind corners of the roads.
