We had a lovely stay at the Ganton Greyhound Inn. We travelled down from Scotland for a wedding which was at a venue just along the road so it was ideal for us. We had an emergency vet trip the day of arrival before we left which meant we would be arriving quite late that evening however the owners called us to let us know it wouldn't be an issue and that the bar would still be open when we arrived. We were able to enjoy a few drinks in the bar after we arrived to unwind after the journey and we enjoyed the comfy sofas in front of the fire. Breakfast was great and the staff were all really helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and really comfortable. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Karen was great. The stay felt very personalised. She was so welcoming and lovely. The room was spotless, I felt like I was in my grandparents house. It was so cosy and homely. She offered to upgrade us to a bigger room but we were really happy in the room we had. It smelled lovely and clean. The decor was beautiful, there were toiletries and fresh milk, chocolate fudge, Easter eggs and fresh flowers in our room! Breakfast was sensational, a massive spread of continental and then a perfect cooked to order breakfast, also a big choice of coffee, tea, juice, including decaf! The staff had organised gluten free cornflakes & bread for me which was really appreciated. The area and the B&B were really quiet and we had a great sleep. This stay was just perfect and we can’t wait to return.

We stayed at the Greyhound Inn at Ganton as it was 18 minutes away by car to Scarborough where we like to go and we got a genious offer with booking.com. We had breakfast and an evening meal there and both were excellent and my gluten free and alternative non dairy milk was catered for.

Great place for a base to explore North Yorkshire and many costal towns. The hotel is a stand alone with nothing around but the golf course. That said once you get there there really is no need to go out anywhere else, the food, beer and wine is good and there is a wonderful garden in which to enjoy your evening.

The location is perfect for getting up and down the East Coast which is why we chose it. But the Greyhound is a real find- the facilities are wonderful, the food is outstanding, and the staff are all helpful and happy to help you, with a sense of humour to boot. We will be back!

Warm welcome on arrival.
Warm welcome on arrival. Beautiful spacious room, on site car parking. Lovely evening meal with great service. Beautiful hearty breakfast to set us up for the day. The only problem we had was is was raining so we couldn't go for a walk, but that wasn't Steve or Sharon's fault, they were both a ray of sunshine 🤓
Great location just outside of Scarborough.
Great Pub/Restaurant/Hotel in lovely gardens and surroundings.
Family Room was great, clean and tidy, with some great little touches (for example, ear plugs).
The courtyard was lovely and we liked the “motel” feel of the property.
The owners were very nice and helpful, really went out of their way to make the stay comfortable and directions and advice on our trip.
I booked two twin rooms for one night at the Ganton Greyhound as four of us were doing the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The rooms have been refurbished and they were spacious and comfortable with lovely bathrooms. There was a little bit of traffic noise but not enough to keep me awake. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the evening meal and breakfast were excellent.
Brilliant, we got their and unpacked and went for a nice walk near the ganton golf club and saw some rabbits/hares and came back and had some alcoholic drinks in the sun. We got up bright an early and was welcomed by the owners. Plenty of options to start your day then a full english to finish before we headed off to the armed forces day.Thoroughly enjoyed!
The two young ladies who welcomed us and seemed to be running the hotel were excellent. Friendly and extremely helpful. The location is excellent for the wold's way, just a few hundred yards off the path. The hotel was quiet and comfortable particularly the bar area. Food was good value.
Steve & Sharon the owners were lovely, the locals were very chatty too, our girls and dog were welcomed by all. The food was very nice. The location was a great place lots of places to visit. Our girls were interested in the history of the Ganton Greyhound all about Dick Turpin!
The hotel was full of character, well run with exceptional staff, the food was fantastic and possibly the best breakfast we have tasted for a very long time, thank you Sharon and Steve for having us, we will definitely be coming through again 😃
Very comfortable and welcoming hotel. Owners and staff very friendly and accommodating. Ate at hotel on two evenings and breakfast on all three mornings. Could not fault the food in any way and was good value.
The room including bathroom was excellent. The road noise was minimal considering it's proximity to the hotel. The staff were excellent and attentive. The evening meal was exceptional and we'll priced.
I have stayed in this hotel numerous times but first time since new ownership. Hotel is now a lot more smarter and looks great. Bar areas are smart and good selection of drinks. Food was great also.
The staff was pleasant, and the whole decoration of the hotel was so cute and traditional english countryside style. The surrounding landscape was stunning. Comfy bed.
