The Cliff Top Inn, hotel in Happisburgh

Set within Castaways Holiday Park, on the seafront in Bacton and featuring a bar, The Cliff Top Inn has free WiFi. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a restaurant.

The lady with the dark hair in a ponytail was very accommodating and solved any problems I had. There was a man behind the bar who checked us in, he was helpful too except for one occasion I'll explain later. The view from our room was very good, we could see the beach and sea. In fact me and my daughter saw a full rainbow over the sea , got our shoes on and rushed to the beach to get a photo before the clouds came back. We just failed to make it, but it gives you an idea of how close the beach was to the hotel .

The Harnser, hotel in Happisburgh

Featuring a garden and views of inner courtyard, The Harnser is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Stalham, 26 km from Blickling Hall.

This B&B pub is a hidden gem, close to all amenities' and places of interest to visit. Excellent choice of hot food on the breakfast menu, dinner in the evenings was good value particularly Sunday lunch which is served until 6pm in the evening. Staff were very friendly and the room clean with everything you would need including fluffy towels changed daily. Joselyn the owner very approachable and accommodated all my dietary needs, thoughtful and much appreciated.

The Ingham Swan, hotel in Happisburgh

Around 16 miles north-east of Norwich, The Ingham Swan is a 14th-century coaching inn with an award-winning restaurant.

Would be great for one or two nights but a full week needed a bigger room as not a lot of wardrobe room for a week's clothes.

We liked the fact that we could walk to the sandy beach.

We liked the fact that we could walk to the sandy beach. We also liked the lighthouse being close. We found The Lighthouse Inn good for pub food and The Swan at Ingram served excellent food. Would go back to both these establishments. Happisburgh is a well kept secret.

Happisburgh beach is wonderful massive crashing waves...

Happisburgh beach is wonderful massive crashing waves beautiful sand! The lighthouse was wonderful loved walking past it every day to go to the beach. There’s not much in Happisburgh there is a drinkers pub called The Hill House Inn but wouldn’t recommend as the owners were arguing on the shop floor, the cleanliness of the pub left little less than desired. The decor in serious need of modernisation and renovation sad as this pub would blossom with the right owners being the only one in a tourist hot spot! We did however find a very good cafe smallstix lovely food, friendly staff good atmosphere! The village does lack a proper eating house. The post office shop was wonderful and full of character! Handy for odd bits and pieces, friendly staff too! Hopefully next time I visit the lighthouse will be open again after covid closure.

    Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Stunningly beautiful clean golden-sandy beaches without any of the usual seaside spoliers. No fun-fares, no amusement arcades, no burger vans, no pumping music. Wonderful.
