Very convenient for the station. The room was fairly spacious though a little dark. Good shower and room comfortable. There was a breakfast menu in the room but the host was a little surprised that we asked about breakfast but he did provide us with a good but slightly unusual breakfast but at extra cost which was expected. THe room was in an outbuilding probably originally a stable block.

Excellent…
The location, cleanliness, space in room and breakfast room, communication and hospitality of the owners, warmth - I had a very long drive and needed some comfort so the warm & cosy feeling in the room was much welcomed.
Breakfast - excellent quality and a great price! Thank you

The lady who welcomed me was very friendly & welcoming.
She showed me up to my room and explained all that I needed to know.
The rooms are directly above the bar, and I was not disturbed at all throughout the nights stay.
The room was spacious and warm, and the bed was comfortable and clean.
The shared kitchen had all the appliances that you could ask for, although I didn't need them.
For the price that I was charged for this stay, I would stay again and is only a 15-minute drive from the race track.

The location of the property was ideal for where we needed to be the following day. There was a lovely local pub that did great food, we also got 20% off our bill for staying at this property. We weren't booked in for breakfast but we ended up having a light bite, all freshly cooked and delicious.

The hosts were very nice. The property was comfortable and clean. The little garden was relaxing to sit in. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The bathroom was nice. This is a well-appointed open-plan one bedroom cottage in the garden of the owner's house. The owners were very nice and met us to give the keys over. There's good, gated parking. You're given a key-fob to buzz open the gates. The main room is the kitchen/lounge. There's no table, rather a kitchen island with 2 bar-stools that functions as the table. There's one sofa and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom's nice. The bed's a zip-link double that can be a twin. The patio opens onto a small, paved area that you can sit in to overlook the owner's garden. There's strict rules not to go into their garden and to keep the patio door shut at all times. There's magazines and brochures. The TV has Netflix. There's Wi-Fi (20 Mbps) as well. The microwave and kitchen stove are clean and well stocked with everything you'd need for a short stay. There's little to do in the immediate area and if it's raining even less. If there's a wedding next door in the private manor, it's a great place to stay.
Friendly welcome, clean room, bed linen and towels.
Friendly welcome, clean room, bed linen and towels.
Breakfast was simple choice and good quality.
Well maintained. Could use patio and conservatory. Cheryl and Stewart made us feel at home.
Could be a good centre for exploring Chester, the Zoo and cathedral, Liverpool and North Wales.

We ate at a busy but friendly restaurant called 'The Hart of Hartford'. We went for a drink at the historic 'Red Lion pub' (bed and breakfast) which had two friendly hosts and was dog friendly. There is a lovely golf course which we visited as a venue for our friends wedding. Hartford would be a good base for travelling to Chester and Northwich.
