Kenton is a very small village.
Kenton is a very small village. Well placed between Exeter and the resorts of Teignmouth and within short driving distance of Starcross where there is very reasonable car park for rail station/ferry to Exmouth) You could use local buses to get around but you really need a car to get to places to eat in the evening, as the village had only 1 restaurant in walking distance.

Lovely restaurant in village.
Lovely restaurant in village. Great location for walking and cycling although busy main road nearby. Good off road parking and also offered storage for bikes. WiFi poor on ground floor and stairs to 1st floor extremely steep.

The cottage was quaint and well equipped and comfortable ,as were the beds ,the jacuzzi was great ,parking was easy ,the shop and restaurant very near , the stairs were a bit difficult , the wi fi unreliable . Apart from that we enjoyed our short break .

Kenton boasts two good restaurants and a village shop, and of course Powderham Castle which is a must if you are staying in the village. We had a very good meal in the Chi restaurant, beautifully presented, and in the past have also had an excellent meal in the Roedean. We had a car so cannot comment on public transport.
