The suite we stayed in, although a slightly odd layout was very big and had two bedrooms and a good sized living area. The gym and pool located next door was a wonderful bonus. The weather was terrible during our stay but otherwise we would have taken advantage of the gorgeous countryside around the hotel as well.

My own stay was ok, Any guests who have access difficulties or are a wheel chair user may have a few problems here. Please note this is a nice Old Hall and sometimes it is difficult to make all accessibility possible due to steps between floors etc. there are lifts but they are small. Great space for night life, cafes and restaurants - people mostly are passive aggressive customer service is really bad overall in most shops / establishments i visited. Example Timpson's and The community chairty furniture shop, they were so rude and so were the hosts in restaurants. Amazing location, staff and facilities. The late checkout was really appreciated as I didn't have to be at work until the afternoon. Breakfast buffet was well stocked, with plenty of choice. Would happily stay again

This is an old and scruffy hotel.
This is an old and scruffy hotel. The staff are not trained and are rude and unhelpful. This hotel needs a professional manager to instil some discipline and training. I'm not surprised that we got a room when all the other hotels and pubs in the area were booked.Graves
