The place was amazing, great, friendly owners, and the dog is cool. Proper pub dog. The rooms were super clean and very nicely cleaned and set up well.
Towels onsite and hairdryer, etc. The pub downstairs is an absolute pleasure to go down for food and breakfast it's great quality food, and once again, the pub is clean and tidy. Overall, we loved this place. And will be coming back again.

ON a wet and windy day it was a joy to alight into such a tranquil location. To be greeted by such an enthusiastic bunch of people. Who took pleasure in ensuring your stay was everything you wanted it to be.

The hotel decor and layout was attractive in a traditional and smart way. Liked the layout of the dining areas and breakfast room. We had visited Kelsall a couple of weeks previously to get an idea of the area before attending Folk Festival, and dropped in at hotel for a pizza. We had already booked our stay at this hotel.. Manager obligingly arranged a room near stairs for when we did stay as I have slight mobility problems and there is no lift. Manager and staff were helpful, polite and pleasant. The room was clean, plenty of cupboard space, and bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine. We would definitely stay there again.

The village was charming and very quiet.
The village was charming and very quiet. We ate a delicious evening meal at the Red Lion pub which was less than 5 minutes walk away. It was amazingly tranquil as we walked back to Porthkerry House after our meal. The village is tiny we only saw the pub, a church, a lovely children's playground and a cricket pitch.
