The stay here was brilliant. It had everything that we needed for our 4 night stay. It was really quiet at night and Tina and Simon helped us out with information and recommended places to go. We stayed in Lockerbie as we went to a wedding in Springkell. It was about 20 minutes drive away so is really easy to reach.

So near the motorway, its a lovely stop over on way from Scottish highlands to Manchester. Love the food, staff & value for money. Stayed here probably 5 or 6 times so that tells its own story
We did a stopover on way to north Scotland. Beautiful quaint town. Stayed at the peaceful Mansefield and did a 2 min walk into town centre. Had delicious diner at Just Be. Visited the Garden of Remembrance, which was very sobering and just a reminder of how this beautiful peaceful town was rocked by an awful tragedy that echoed the worst of humanity. A town that will always be remembered for the Pan Am bomb, but that actually is so much more than that. Easy links by train. Too short a stopover as quite a lot to do in the area

As I was only there for work, it would be difficult to comment too much on the town itself as I didn't get a chance to see too much of it, although the areas I did see were lovely. However it appears a good base for exploring the South West of Scotland, with good rail and motorway links

I arrived late afternoon and went for a run. Didn't have a lot of time to explore. Will be back. The people I met were friendly and kind. This day we saved a dog 🐕 from being run down. He had run away or been abandoned and was running harem scare. So myself and the town dwellers all came together to help the dog. Well done this community spirit!

It was a lovely building, breakfast nicely cooked , no other choices to full Scottish, fresh fruit would have been nice ....the breakfast is priced at £14.95 and not £11.95 as stated on booking .com ..
Bathroom light was automatic and an issue when using through the night ...beds comfortable though we found the room too hot ...
I probably wouldn't stay again

Lockerbie is a quiet, sleepy town with very little in the way of restaurants. Hotel was tired but clean and comfortable - renovation should modernise it.
Golf course was quite hilly however provided great views of surrounding area - people at golf club were however very friendly and helpful. Nearby Lochmaben was a much better golf experience for anyone looking to golf in the area.
People were however very friendly in the area.

An early morning walk into the country above Lockerbie.
An early morning walk into the country above Lockerbie.
Convenient bus service to Moffatt and Glasgow (there was a rail strike at the time of our stay).
A big town centre Tesco that stays open late.
The location suited me as it is a couple of miles out of Lockerbie in a rural setting - useful when travelling with a loaded car. The house is set in an immaculately tidy farm amongst rolling landscape. I felt both safe and welcomed as a solo traveller, the room was well-equipped, and the breakfast was good with quality ingredients.
I'd be happy to stay here again.
Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Lockerbie, easily accessible from the M74 and with plenty of parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. The building and decor are traditional but transcends being dated – it's authentic. Comfortable room which was immaculately clean. Somerton House is now on my list and I shall certainly return.

Lovely quiet place to stay - a friendly welcome and a truly excellent breakfast. Suits me perfectly for a safe overnight stop. The nearest evening meals are in Lockerbie a mile down the road, but I usually bring a picnic, which the owners don't seem to mind.
We didn’t end up in the Dryfesdale we got transferred to its sister hotel. It was handy just off the motorway with lots of parking. Erin (manager) was a superstar, running reception and serving meals also very supportive with my food intolerances.
The hotel was in a great location, walking distance from the train station in Lockerbie.
The hotel has high standards despite being only a small venue, lovely comfortable room, nice bar and restaurant area, the food was good too
Gorgeous wee railway cottage. Very well equipped kitchen including tea, coffee, pint of milk in the fridge and basic foods in the cupboard - oil and rice. Games etc in the living room and a nice wee outdoor area as well.
Very convenient as close to the motorway. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the (accessible) room was very spacious, with good amenities. The breakfast was good, I didn't try the evening menu.
Great place to stay , certainly recommend it . Great experience plenty of parking spaces close to hotel and free . Food was excellent staff were brilliant,we had a newly renovated room it was lovely
Just loved this hotel, the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. It is not a luxury hotel but it met every need we had and we thought the staff made it exceptional.
Comfortable and clean. Nice old hotel building. Friendly staff. Excellent location on the town centre. Handy for pubs, shops, restaurants. A stone's throw from the station.
Very good breakfast, and service also good. Rooms large and comfortable. The hotel is well located to the motorway, and we have stayed before in the same rooms.
We had a pleasant and quite stay in Lockerbie. The sorrounding is ideal for bike trips (thanks for the supportive planning!) and the breakfast really good!
First hotel we stayed in on our Scottish heritage vacation. This was the hidden gem, enjoyed the atmosphere, food and the way we were made to feel welcome.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and good value. The food was great, and the staff were fantastic- so helpful and attentive I’d definitely come again!
