Everything about the Clive Arms was perfect from the moment we arrived until we left. The accommodation was 1st class as was the food in the pub and the surrounding facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back !!!

Location is fantastic, bed comfortable and so much bigger than we expected, there was a bit of noise from upstairs but they went to bed the same time as us so that was ok

Exceptional standard of accommodation. We had just done a 10 Mike walk and we're in need of a bit of luxury: a comfy bed and everything on our doorstep, no driving required.
The Townhouse was just the ticket!
Great flexibility and communication from our host regarding collecting the keys, given we were expecting to arrive late in the evening.
A real treat, in a totally unspoilt part of the country.

Ludlow was a Market town, (but not exceptional), with a fine castle. Their were several recommended restaurants which were mostly fully booked although we ate one night in 'The George'. Getting around Ludlow was simple although parking was a nightmare.
Eating at pubs in surrounding Villages is probably a better option, where greater choice and better value is available. We visited two and had exceptional meals, especially at The Lion' in Leintwardine which is highly recommended

Ludlow is an old market town with numerous attractive buildings - every lane and road in the centre is ancient and interesting. Lots of places to eat and it looked as though there were interesting shops too (this was a very short stay). The market square, Assembly Rooms and the castle are set at the top of the hill. The deli in the square sells excellent things - which I took back home for supper. The hills are steep, but worth the walk if you can manage it, for instance down to the river - where I had an excellent breakfast overlooking the water (unforgettable view - and kingfishers if you're lucky). My dodgy knees complained, but not enough to put me off.
The central parking is free between 6pm and 8am and, very thoughtfully, fees paid after 6 pm automatically carry forward to 8am onwards, so no rushing to get to the car park before 8am - who wants to do that on holiday?
I haven't even touched on the amazing views and the glorious countryside around the town
I'll definitely go back

It has rightly got a reputation for foodies, there were plenty of options and markets most days selling all kinds of produce. It's quite hilly in places so need to take that into account. Good transport links to Shrewsbury, Hereford and beyond. Lovely small town friendly feel to all the areas we visited.

The town was beautifully clean, quite busy as there was a market on when we visited, plenty of places to eat . It also has the added bonus of the castle, which is worth a look around.
Surrounded by wonderful countryside and many walks to enjoy.
Location brilliant for access to everything you need in Ludlow. Full English breakfast was amazing plentiful and really tasty. Lots of other choice too including cereals, fruit, toast, jams and marmalade. Couldn’t fault the service. Rooms a little on the small size however what more do you want other than to get your head down at the end of the night. Bed really comfortable. Great choice of drinks from larger to ales, wines and spirits. Hotelier’s were amazing lovely stay fantastic conversation will definitely be back.
We loved staying here. Room was lovely but the real joy was the balcony with amazing view of the church, old alms house, pretty old street, gardens and marvelous hills beyond- wonderful. We loved the sound of church bells. Food was excellent. So glad we booked a table for evening meal - the pub is popular, we saw many people turned away on a monday night. Great menu. Breakfast was also excellent.
Location is ideal in quiet side street at centre of Ludlow. Ideal for all sight seeing in Ludlow.
Will stay here again
Arrived at this beautiful hotel slightly earlier than planned to be met with friendly staff. We were checked in and given our room key so we could return later at our leisure as room wasn't yet available. Room 8 is fabulous.. The bar area, Ludlow Kitchen next door are all lovely. Great breakfast.!!.its a great little complex next door to the Ludlow golf course and Ludlow Race course !! We were lucky enough to visit a Classic Car show in the grounds. Highly recommend, a great hotel on the A49.
It's a super flat. Very comfortable with lovely furnishings. The breakfast bundle was super and the kitchen superbly fitted out. The location is amazing and comes with free parking for one car which is so handy. It's bang in the centre of Ludlow with hand shops (including Spar) just a couple of minutes away. Sheila was super helpful, kind and caring; checking in the next morning to see if everything was OK. We couldn't recommend it more highly. Just lovely.
What a fabulous little hotel, from arrival to departure we could not fault it, a small beautifully formed hotel , quiet location but within easy walking into Ludlow. Breakfast was superb well presented and plenty of choice, we ate al fresco one evening with just the sound of the birds for company. Bistro meals again beautiful, desserts outstanding. Staff were friendly but professional. Large comfy bed well appointed room lovely bathroom couldn't fault it .
This is not a full hotel; it is a restaurant that has rooms available. The room was spacious and comfortable with reasonable fixtures. Very quiet location with wonderful views of Ludlow Castle. Restaurant was excellent both for Breakfast and dinner (we ate there both nights), quite small so would need to book to ensure table. Service very good and staff friendly. A little out of town but pleasant walk into centre in 15 minutes.
Location was excellent - right in the heart of Ludlow
Comfortable bed
Lots of historic character in the main hotel
The shower was acceptable
The cafetiere coffee was better than the usual instant variety though let down by the choice of UHT milk - why not offer fresh milk?
Amazing hotel, beautiful location set by the river, with river views, the suite was excellent, clean with bonus of a hot tub. The food is excellent too with a beautiful restaurant again with a wonderful view of Ludlow and the river. Great staff.
Sarah was a wonderful host, and her rooms were immaculate, spacious, and comfortable. Good location to the city center, and a delicious breakfast ! All this plus free parking made the property an ideal stay in Ludlow. Highly recommended !
The breakfast was excellent as was the host, a lovely, kind man with a sense of humour. My son and I would recommend this hotel to any of our friends looking to spend a holiday in Ludlow. Ours was a wonderful experience.
This hotel is in a fabulous location for seeing Ludlow. The staff were very friendly. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. There was a good choice at breakfast. I can recommend the Church Inn.
The perfect hotel to discover Ludlow from. Charming and spacious room in a renovated Tudor-style building. Clean and quiet. No staff on site, but the offsite manager and cleaners were all wonderful.
Great location to wonderful restaurants and pubs, discovering Ludlow on foot - all within easy reach. There's parking on site for one vehicle - it's a bit tight but definitely doable. I'll be back!
