Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Very comfortable extra large bed. Friendly helpful staff.
I was very annoyed that when I booked the hotel it wasn’t until I had paid a non refundable bill in full that they informed me that the pub was closed and up for sale and that there were no facilities to get a drink or food including any breakfast

Only stayed one night but enjoyed the quiet location, spacious and clean. Fresh bread and croissants on arrival was a nice touch

A lovely market town with a wide variety of shops and eateries.
Peony and Tonic is a fab cocktail bar and their cheese board is delicious!
Plenty of places to explore for long or short walks in the countryside.

On arrival the room was not clean rubbish was in the bin from previous occupation. Towels were wet and laying on the bed, the glass was used for rinsing there mouth and toothpaste was all around the lip. The bed linen was soiled by excrement of which I have a picture.
The cup was dirty no milk for making hot drinks.
After complaining I was giving another room, only small hand towels and the two cups were both dirty needed washing. Over mirror lights not working in both rooms.
I asked for breakfast at 7am I was told that another person wanted breakfast at the same time so was no a problem.
I was let into the breakfast area at 7-15 when I told the landlord he said it would be put right on Sunday so I went down for a 7am breakfast and left the property at 7-20 with out any breakfast as the breakfast area not open.
I was told I would get a refund so let’s wait and see

Note, shower at Four Alls worked But not adequately.
Note, shower at Four Alls worked But not adequately. They said they are updating showers. Market Drayton, Hodnet, Hawkstone Park, all very close to visit. Plus Canal walk and lanes. Towns old worldly, lovely old architecture. Hodnet ancient village with Manor House and beautiful gardens. Hawstone Park ancient cave system. Canal with locks and boats. Not far from Shrewsbury, an interesting old town. Shropshire has much to offer. Hodnet and Hawkstone favourite, only drove through Market Drayton, didn't have time to meander on this occasion, but did see lovely old architecture.
I'd avoid big busy towns.

Much more rural than expected.
Much more rural than expected. There was a confusing one-way system in the town for a stranger. We only really saw the church, which was quite high but well maintained.
Not having reason to go again we do not plan to revisit.

Lived there 1963-65, this was a return trip to show my partner where I lived. Totally changed, but well worth going round some of my own haunts.
Shropshire Union canal is there, a good stop off town, places to eat and visit.
The food was very good, particularly evening meals which were excellent. The room was clean and well equipped and serviced every day (3 day stay). The shower room was large and fully functional. The outdoor area outside the motel rooms was a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are good walks to be had to Market Drayton down both side roads, so you don't need to take the car out all the time. We would be very happy to stay there again.
The hotel owner and staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming or accommodating. They went above and beyond for us and nothing was a bother to them. The breakfast and service was outstanding. There was live music just outside and plenty of bars and food places just a stone throw away. So central!
Friendly owners, very good breakfast with plenty to choose from. Lovely clean room with all the facilities you need. We attended a wedding at Tern Hill Park Hotel and it was just down the road. The honesty bar is a great idea we loved that. Can't fault the place, will recommend and will be back.
The hotel itself ought to be a gem. It's a wonderful, half-timbered building.....
Its location is very good.
The manager tries her utmost, but it's an uphill struggle. It wasn't helped by the indisposition of two key staff, which meant no breakfast (for which we were promptly refunded).
a lovely old house in the centre of Market Drayton, Nigel is a great host, let us check in quickly and then shoot off for a family visit close by, we arrived back late. Breakfast is a huge choice , all done to order and a good size too, sets us up for the day
The place had character and was cosy. Better than staying in a chain hotel. As they don't cook evening meal we asked for suggestions and he was more than helpful and went to one of them and he was right it was perfect.
The location in countryside, nr. Market Drayton, Hodnet. Food was good and pricing good. Staff very nice. Room excellent, as was the bar and dining areas. Large parking area and outside tables. Everything to like.
The breakfast was lovely and just what we wanted. We travelled for a wedding and the hotel was near the venue. The weather was not very good but, this is England.
Great Gastro-pub hotel, lovely rooms and great food. Very good with Gluten Free and Dietary requirements. Huge Car Park and good access. Will use again.
