Our host Sorrel and her family were lovely really welcoming and friendly. Thank you so much. The property was excellent extremely clean, was stocked with everything you would need and want. Shower was great bed very comfy. Decoration was fresh and calming. We relaxed here before and after work. The views and the garden are stunning. I wish we could have stayed longer we will both be coming back with our partners for a calming break. if you need some calm, and rejuvenation in some glorious nature. Use your imagination and step back into another time. This is a wonderful old mansion built around 1810, which had not been lived in for 17 years and is currently being rescued by the hosts. So, some of the public rooms are yet to be restored. However, my room was splendid, with a marvelous marble bathroom. There are 6 acres of gardens also undergoing restoration, including outhouses to explore. Don't miss the old Japanese garden, slowly emerging from the ivy and stinging nettles.
