The location was perfect for our needs. Our landlord, Richard, was friendly and helpful. The room was certainly large, the bed comfortable, facilities adequate. Had a downstairs toilet and sink right outside our room which was great. Only booked for one night. No breakfast with this room but tearooms etc not far away in town centre.

We didn't see much of the place as we were staying overnight before catching a ferry. The town centre was a little unsavoury with some really rough types drinking cider on street benches. We ended up eating in McDonalds as it was the place that was most inviting and bought a cake in Lidl for pudding. We saw the portside when we were leaving on the ferry which looked pretty. I might be being a bit harsh for a place I spent 12 hours in, I would love to see the good side of any place.

A lovely room which was comfortable and spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. It had tea and coffee making facilities. As well as as bottled water. The bathroom was realy nice and a good size. There is also room on the drive to park you're car which is realy handy. The instruction given on your arrival are easy to follow. There is also a kitchen which is fully equipped with every thing you need it even has a washing machine for quest to use. Any one who stayed here will be delighted with the room and all it has to offer to guest. We didn't meet the owner but he was on hand if needed. Would definitely return when we next come to visit my friend in Peacehaven.

it was a box in the rear garden of the property and I would like the refund as on the booking it said it was a Chalet, The fact is that it is a 10sqm BOX (similar of those fast food boxes you find in the markets across England) in the rear garden of the house.

I had a look around Newhaven Town when my train arrived at the start of my trip. I stayed in Peacehaven and didn't go back to Newhaven until the day I left on the train. The day I arrived, I walked around the old town centre and went into Rosie's Cafe for a nice cup of tea. I got the impression that Newhaven was a town that used to be fashionable but had perhaps lost tourism trade to Brighton and seemed a little run down or neglected. Everyone was very friendly though and it was only a first impression. I would certainly go there again, as it is more peaceful than the larger towns.

although Newhaven has a small town centre, it's in between Eastbourne and Brighton. three good pubs nearby. too. The King Edward, the Hope inn and the Ark. the King Edward doesn't do food but it,s a lovely old pub with an old fashioned pub game called Toad in the hole which is fun. never seen it anywhere else before.

The Ark, for a good cup of coffee.

The Ark, for a good cup of coffee. Very good service, not enough staff for a saturday morning. Newhaven is not much of a place to visit unless using the ferry to Dieppe. Perhaps we didn't see the good part or perhaps it will be developed in the next ten years.

Stayed at Harbour View in Newhaven after walking from Eastbourne via the Seven Sisters. It is in a very convenient location near the train station with great views by the sea. Claudia was friendly and made me feel very welcome. The room was amazing and one of the best places that I have ever stayed in. Everything was so clean and comfortable. It was such a peaceful and quiet stay. I am looking to hopefully walk from Brighton to Newhaven next time and will certainly book here if I choose to stay overnight again.

We were greeted by Claudia, who took care of getting us a taxi from the train station.Lovely clean room in a charming condo. Storm the cat was also there to greet us. Bathroom was well set up with toiletries . Restaurants were 5 minute walk away. A pub, an Italian restaurant, and a great breakfast spot. I would recommend this spotless home for anyone staying in Newhaven. We were very well received into this comfortable home. Thank you, Claudia for a short, but great stay.

Claudia has a very warm and welcoming way about her. She has all the information you would need to enjoy spending your time in Newhaven. The facilities were exceptionally clean, comfortable and the location was excellent. Close to the beach and restaurants in the area. I would stay here again and recommend to my friends without hesitation. Plus the resident cat is a beauty!

Location good for the Newhaven ferry terminal. Parking available. TV and tea and coffee making facilities (no milk though) very clean and comfortable. Kitchen facilities were available but didn’t use. I’m For me ideal as I only need a bed for a few hours as collecting passengers from the ferry in the early hours. If required I would certainly use again.

A modern, clean property with a charming and attentive host in the scenic seaside suburb of Saltdean. Excellent routes to Brighton, the Marina, and the historical village of Rottingdean. The firepit was entertaining and unique, distinctive from the typical hotel experience. The jacuzzi was state of the art and maintained to a high standard.

We stayed for one night in order to catch the morning ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe. The port is only minutes away from the B&B. The hosts are lovely people who do all they can to please. It feels like home. The English breakfast is an excellent start of the day, served with a lot of attention to detail. A stay at Sunrise is very much recommended.

We were able to keep in touch with Nicky by text regarding arrival times and she met us at the property. Very convenient for the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry, and we were able to store our cycles securely in the garden. All that we needed was provided in the accommodation. The house is in a quiet street so we had a good night's sleep too.

We had a warm, friendly welcome from Shannon the host. The Annex was extremely comfortable and clean and the seating area outside in the garden was a great chill out zone. The area is peaceful and we felt safe, there was a great walk up to the sea and the Newhaven fort. We will absolutely be back.

Our trip was made easy with the very friendly and responsive host. The place is spotlessly clean and easy to find. It is centrally located from the nearby scenic spots say Brighton and the Seven Sisters. I would go back to this place if I was in East Sussex again.
