Our stay was incredible! We brought two baby cots and our daughters and the hotel was super welcoming. The room was comfortable and stocked with Bramley products which I love. The pub below the rooms is super cosy with an amazing bright conservatory and a big gorgeous back garden. We had two wonderful dinners there (don’t miss the 12h lamb shoulder for 2) and the breakfast is fantastic, really good food. Wine list is also great and fairly priced. Overall we had really fabulous stay! If you go with children don’t miss Bucklebury Farm.

The room was very nicely decorated, spacious , the carpet looked as if it was very new. There was a large flatscreen on the wall so you could comfortably watch tv. The bathroom was very clean, there was a sticker to say the hotel was a green hotel to avoid water wastage which was a nice touch . The shower was spacious and was also immaculate, not one water mark on the glass door! The whole room felt very clean and well maintained . The first impressions of the hotel is it’s in a quiet residential it’s smart looking and on the corner of the road. Up the top of the road as you come out, the Gentleman on the reception pointed out very kindly there is a 33 bus which if your needing to commute to town for work is handy their approx every twenty minutes ie 7:03 then 7:24. To walk it , give yourself thirty minutes as the centre is not too nearby. There is however 2 minutes from the bus stop a train station so you have that option also. If your looking for somewhere with no night time noise , clean and comfortable, this is a good choice hotel.
Arrived at 3 and room still not ready at 5.20 . Then given the room number 10 and bed not made up as still waiting on laundry. Duvet all stained and room dirty.Asked to see manager and a guy called Ben arrived and said nothing was going to please me … photos will show

Interesting place, will go back. Got to swim in the Thames, see the churches, go to Whitchurch, walk along the Thames. Visit Goring. It's a fantastic place for a couple of nights. There is a canoe club and also it's a good place to cycle in.

Pangbourne is surrounded by loverly woods and the River Thames runs close by. The traffic during the day is very heavy and makes walking around the town unpleasant. Oddly there are no pubs on the river. There are som nice walks by the river.

Pangbourne’s become seedy looking, with very few real shops left. All the pubs were either closed to non residents, or closed around 9.00 pm ish; all, except The Swan, we’re closed all Sunday evening! The high street is very noisy and stinks of fumes.

It’s only small village which is gorgeous and full of character. There’s only a few places to book to stay overnight. The George was dirty and badly needs some tlc! Didn’t use the romantic bath for 2 in the honeymoon suite because of the mould around the bath. So wasn’t the special romantic stay we hoped for atal

Cleanliness and individuality of hotel decor coupled with...
Cleanliness and individuality of hotel decor coupled with keen price meant for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is well situated in the village. Also reassuring was that there seemed good regard to social distancing and other covid related precautions by all staff.
Good location for us as we were walking the Thames path We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment about food Our room was very small but ok as we only stayed 1 night We were right on the railway line which was ok as trains didn't run through the night Since the hotel didn't seem busy we might have been given a quieter room ?
My husband put his rucksack on top of wardrobe and it was absolutely covered in dust Otherwise everything acceptablely clean
The staff were really helpful, especially the receptionist who greeted us, she was really pleasant and professional. They allowed us to store our e bikes in their garage which also had power. The location was excellent with easy access to shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The train line runs close to the back of the hotel. This didn’t bother me at all, but the trains do run through the night.
Hotel staff were extremely helpful, and offered flexibility for our stay which was much appreciated. The room was small, but that was absolutely fine for our needs. The bed and bedding was very comfortable and appeared to be clean. Staff were available when we needed them, and they were open and receptive to our comments and requests.
With regards to value for money, I think it's pretty much in line with what you'd expect to pay.
A comfortable room in a delightful hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bar was well-stocked with good quality products and the breakfast was enjoyable and excellent value at £10 for the cooked selection of choice
Hotel is in a good location and the room was clean despite needing refurbishment. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and towels as well as tea and coffee.
