Restaurant in lovely position. Would prefer freshly cooked (al-a-cart) breakfast as the scrambled egg had a skin on it as it had been there so long and other items were only slightly warm. Cups could be a bit bigger or have pots you can have for tea/coffee on your table

The location was perfect for exploring the town and the riverside.
The hotel is a really nice building with many original features, a welcoming reception and comfortable lounge and bar areas.
The room was very comfortable and clean. All the members of staff were exceptional.

Clean and modern room, on a very remote and quiet area at the end of a long narrow one lane road. Easy parking. Dinner was excellent and very tasty. Staff were very professional and helpful.

Great location with a good selection of National Trust properties nearby. The views from the cottage were lovely and the hosts were the best we have ever had. They made us so welcome from the moment we arrived and made the stay a 5* experience.
