Room was lovely, good beds. Dated bathroom but clean. Shame about the pool being closed and shame for the future but great to have access to next doors leisure pool.
Staff on reception great. Comfortable hotel.

Lovely peaceful location.
Plenty of places to visit and so close to Cardiff and Swansea but the small towns are pretty, worth a visit.
Lots of local amenities and an abundance of good restaurants.

Changed quite a lot over the years. Plenty shops and resterants , Sumerset Arms do lovely meals and the staff are amazing! My husband recommends the ribs 😋
Port Talbot is easy to get around.
We would avoid going to the Twelve Knights the place has really gone down hill since we stayed last year especially the food.

The hotel looked a little run down on the outside - a bit like the area around it. Inside the hotel, however, it was clear that the staff and the facilities were excellent and everyone was friendly and helpful. The location, beside the park, the promenade and the beach, is wonderful. We found that there was lots to do nearby and we had a lovely time. Food in the hotel (breakfast and dinner) was adequate and there were lovely restaurants and bars close at hand.

The steel works is a real eyesore with its belching out of emissions, especially if visiting the sea front.

Breakfast is an all you can eat full English buffet, and strong cofree, the perfect start to your day that carry you well into the afternoon. The beds are a dream, so soft, nice, and firm. Nice, big sized rooms, comfy furniture.
Great location up in the hills above Port Talbot. The lodge is at the start of the mountain bike trails and is popular with groups, with a bunk house, glamping and camping. I had a room in the lodge which was very comfortable and clean, giving a wonderful night's sleep. All the staff were very friendly. Food is served at the weekends in the cafe, good hearty outdoorsy food. This isn't a grand hotel and you shouldn't expect it but the location is unbeatable and the staff make you very welcome.
Hotel in a lovely setting, near to walking & bike trails.
Good sized clean, warm comfortable room with lovely view.
Quality towels & bedding, continuous hot water.
Good supply of tea, coffee & biscuits, room serviced
daily.
Really good breakfast & excellent evening meals, presented beautifully.
Very friendly & helpful staff.
Coat hooks!
Very dog friendly!
Good bar with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was warm, larger than average and comfortable bed
The bar was excellent with a wide range of drinks. Probably a better pub than hotel. Large car park made life easy for us. Good cooked breakfast but minimal alternatives other than instant pot porridge, packets of cereals (decent selection) but no fruit juices on display.
The staff made us feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean with large rooms, and the parking was free with more than enough spaces. We ate in the restaurant which had great food served quickly by friendly staff.
Breakfast was amazing. If I am staying in South Wales again, this hotel would be my choice.
Location was perfect for us, across from the train station, near the choir hall. The hotel is working to upgrade, the hallways need help, but our room was comfortable and clean! The breakfast was not the usual British fair but a nice change with smoked fish and cheese toast etc. They would have sent us out for the usual but we were glad we stayed!
Lovely Breakfast, super-helpful staff, great location, unbelievable views from back of Hotel. However mattresses were not great, need renewing, could feel the springs. Floor in bathroom very spongy by bath. But pillows were good. Juat needs a bit of updating
Lovely hotel that was clean and tidy. Helpful friendly staff and nice modern warm room with good facilities. Great restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. Perfect location for mountain biking at Afan Forest literally a few miles from both start centre’s.
Booked originally to be near seniors golf . But the entertainment in the evening was an added bonus with the most agreeable food could not fault it.I would certainly highly reccomend Blancos
Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Been here in the past and I will definitely return. Breakfast was hot and tasty. Lovely views. Reception staff very attentive and couldn't do enough for guests
Not the prettiest of hotels outside but inside is absolutely fine. Rooms comfortable and sea views great. Pet friendly and good food and friendly service. We have visited several times
Beautiful location, you can enjoy a stunning mountain view while sitting outside or inside the restaurant. Clean and comfortable rooms. Close to the Afan Bike Park and biker friendly.
