The food in the Nelson bar was nice but overpriced. £12.50 for a panini room service or not is excessive. Our room was comfortable and with a nice bathroom but the shower screen leaked all over the floor. The bed was spacious but hte room overheated and pillows very hard, I think that is where they keep the coal!

A beautiful and homely hotel. Very welcoming. Superb breakfast and the staff are just fabulous. The chef brought up my suitcase for me, as I didn’t travel quite light enough! The owner is an open, welcoming and very attentive lady. I so enjoyed my stay. Thank you !

Cooked breakfast choice, full English, vegan, varied options. Restaurant had good options but not tried personally. 24/7 access to building outside reception hours.
Great hotel. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Both resuarants were of a night standard. Rooms were very clean seeing as it was pet friendly. Pool was nice although dressing rooms were a bit tired. The room was possibly haunted.

Great pet friendly hotel in good location.
Great pet friendly hotel in good location. Comfy beds and nice rooms. Good spa facilities and nice bar for lunch and evening meal. Breakfast was a little limited as the food wasn’t refreshed but think this was due to a lack of staff. Check out was slow but there was an issue with other customers that caused the delay. Would stay again as fabulous for dogs.

The staff were very good and attentive.
The staff were very good and attentive. The hotel description of the rooms is different from booking.com as they describe as economy rather than standard alas over £200 for a Saturday you should expect better than very basic. No sleep on our 1st night as every creak from above could be heard. Moved rooms even worse put over toilet block so could hear the hand dryer every time it was used. Eventually moved to decent room late at night and slept
Absolutely fabulous hotel. The staff were brilliant - we’d forgotten our phone charger and they sorted it out for us immediately.
We wanted extra milk and biscuits for the room - no problem.
The location is beautiful and the hotel is outstanding.
The spa was really quiet and clean and we had a wonderful time there.
Dinner in Nelson’s was awesome and again great service and breakfast was 10/10.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly . I asked to be allowed access to my room early due to attending a friend's wedding and my room was ready for my arrival.
