Fantastic location, excellent friendly helpful staff making you feel at home. We had a lovely Sunday Roast in restaurant overlooking river, portions excellent and food delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything you need. As our booking was only 1 night we only booked a standard room .

The Coach House is a beautiful place to stay when in the area. We had to take a slight detour from Hadrian‘s Wall Path, which we were on, but it was well worth it. The cottage is situated at the end of a private driveway surrounded by a luscious garden. Everything was tastefully decorated, nice and clean, the bed very comfortable, which was welcome after a long day of hiking. For dinner and breakfast we had to head down to the Boatside Inn about 20mins out, but it was well worth it, as the food was delicious, the staff lovely and the walk there and back beautiful. It also gave us an opportunity to check out the local Quoits team, which was quite fun! We hope to be back!

The staff were lovely.
The room was well equipped and very clean.
Quiet, peaceful location but close to Hadrians Wall sights / museums which was the purpose of our trip.
Lovely to be able to relax in the evening in the pub bar.
Had an excellent evening meal and terrific breakfast.
All in all a lovely choice for what we needed.
