The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The room was larger than I thought it would be with an additional bed, no additional fee though :) There was everything I could have needed in the room - iron and ironing board, heater, fan, hair drier, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Close M11 and Stansted.
Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

They accommodated our late arrival, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower was great. So nice to have a shower with a decent power. We also booked to eat in the ‘pub’ side of the Cock. Service was very good. Food and menu options were good for a pub.
