Everything, it’s a very clean & tidy hotel, food choice brilliant & very nice, breakfast brilliant, but it's the friendly staff & atmosphere that makes this a great place to stay. It's definitely going on my list of good stayaway pubs.

Clean, tidy and friendly. Bookers should consider the exceptional cost of a taxi (£30 from £20 to) if using for airport and just pay the extra to stay next to the terminal

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The room was larger than I thought it would be with an additional bed, no additional fee though :) There was everything I could have needed in the room - iron and ironing board, heater, fan, hair drier, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Close M11 and Stansted.
Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was exceptional, would use them again but unfortunately no more events expected in their location.
Only negative was the man who helped serve breakfast, he was not dressed appropriately - it looked like pyjamas but likely shorts & T-shirt
On a B&B basis the ‘hotel’ side of our stay was great. They accommodated our late arrival, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower was great. So nice to have a shower with a decent power.
We also booked to eat in the ‘pub’ side of the Cock. Service was very good. Food and menu options were good for a pub.
The hotel has an excellent service with every thing that they provide. The breakfast is excellent and the dinners are to die for. Have eaten at quite a few hotel's in the past, but this hotel has the most excellent service and also the rooms are very clean and spacious

Absolutely wonderful stay at the Cock Inn Hotel, thank you to all the friendly staff who made our stay so enjoyable. We had an evening meal and the breakfast, both were superb. Plenty of parking available.
We had Sunday lunch there which was delicious - and stayed over the Sunday night - they let us get the key at 12pm early as we would not be at the hotel until late (going to Tom Jones at Audley End)
Wonderful cosy pub, classy decor, great drinks selection, friendly staff and after a year of staying in hotels throughout the pandemic, this was the best breakfast I have have had in a long time!
Didn't have a meal as we arrived late on Sunday. The hotel is absolutely spotless and faultless also usefully attached to the pub. Management extremely helpful and friendly.
Good hotel. For a pub with rooms it was extremely quiet. Comfortable bed and good facilities. Can't comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before restaurant was open .
A lovely family owned and run hotel. Comfortable rooms, great freshly prepared food, and a quiet location handy to M11.
On site parking. Just a great pub.
