Everything was good wish they had been a fridge in my room. The kettle took forever to boil that’s was one downside about it almost 4mins to boil. Hotel was quiet and clean appropriate for business and mature travellers. A softer pillow will do than the standard soft you have, I felt the ones you claim soft were still too thick .

The wonderfully warm and understanding greeting by the receptionist - full of understanding [one of us had injured his knee in walking from Oxford to Reading over the previous 3 days], and clear explanation of why it was beyond her's or Malmaison's powers to cancel his room given that he had to return home for treatment. And she then asked after my friend when I checked out the morning after.

Not the best time to describe the area, as it was dark and stormy, but it looked quaint and probably really attractive in better weather conditions. It's a surprisingly quiet village, so near to the conurbation of Reading.
