The staff were excellent, very professional and friendly. On arrival they had no record of my booking but on presenting my booking reference everything was sorted out. The location was excellent for the event I was attending only a few minutes walk away. If you wanted to go to the beach or pier the cliff lift was just across the road.

The Pier walk was great and visit to the lifeboat at the end. We also loved 'Beaches' Restaurant and the 'Oyster Kitchen' We loved walking along the coast both ways. Leigh on Sea had some super little independent boutiques; "Ruby's" for one and an amazing boutique called "A Touch Too Wild" where the owner could give Gok Wan a run for his money! Southend is great for walking or there is an open topped bus - we just walked until we found somewhere lovely to stop for a rest; we had "Elevenses at The Oyster Creek Kitchen, then 'put the steps in' browsed the boutiques in Leigh on Sea and then enjoyed great food at an Italian Bistro which served superb food! Our Guest House had its own parking and was convenietly situated beteeen Leigh on Sea and Southend itself. We stated for three nights and feel completely refreshed!

I went just at the start of the Easter break, and it was nice and quiet, I imagine it being a popular summer resort. Good facilities with plenty of eateries. Travelling around Southend was okay, gets busy during rush-hour. Great long walks along the esplanade and the pier. A lot of the shops were closed during close-season.

I lived in Southend for many years, this was a visit to see family and attend a family gathering. The town (I will never call it a city) is a shadow of its former self. I wouldn't go to Southend unless I had a specific reason, it just isn't as welcoming as it used to be and the high street is dead.
In the summer, short break with young children who want no more than the beach and this place would be ok. There are some decent restaurants but stay out of the town centre for those.

Going around visiting places. Eating out.
Going around visiting places. Eating out. Great taxi service. Hotel was not so good. Not disabled friendly. Fell in bathroom not built for anyone who is disabled.. Hurt myself quite bad. Screaming in agony. Apart from that. Will not be staying in this hotel again

Southend (bearing in mind our visit was in Winter!)
Southend (bearing in mind our visit was in Winter!) is actually really nice. We didn't expect much (we expected Morecambe, but got Southport!). There decent shops; the promenade was clean and open. We ate in The Last Post, but would certainly try other places when we visit again.
It is hard to give a fair representation of a town after a very brief visit, but it made a sufficiently good impression for us to want to see more, when the opportunity arises

This property was first class. We booked 2 rooms for 1 night to take my mother in law to Southend. All I can say is I have never stayed in such a friendly hotel - from the owner to the cleaners - everyone had a smile on their face and could not do enough to accommodate us. The hotel is modern, beautifully designed bedrooms and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also great. Just a short walk to all the main attractions - I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it - thank you Seven Hotel for such a nice stay.
Very professional staff. Very friendly.. easy check in and very helpful with parking . great location. Beautiful view of the sea from our room. Buffet breakfast exceptional. Great size room we stayed in one of the junior suites .spa bath was small but divine. Couldn't fault the hotel and it's amenities. Ten minutes from Southend pier. Was given a map, very useful.
The room and bathroom were very clean, spacious and well furnished. The location was really good, central for Southend and Westcliff-on-Sea, whilst being fairly quiet as it is at the end of a road. Staff all seemed friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to get one of the few parking spaces in the car park at the rear, as we were visiting off season.
Excellent breakfast and lovely room looking towards the sea through the trees of the little parkland opposite the hotel. The location was a complete surprise as we'd not been to Southend before and didn't realise there was a lovely Victorian conservation area of which this hotel was a part.
10 out of 10 the apartment was the best we have ever stayed in immaculate and very spacious would stay here again over a hotel or guest house location was spot on would recommend friends or family to stay here and Lisa sorted our parking out aswell which was very good much appreciated Lisa
The host was very friendly and very helpful. We were surprised how big the apartment was. There was plenty of room and everything we needed. Walking distance from train station shops and restaurants. Would definitely use these apartments again if we stay in southend on sea.
The hotel was pleasant, though dated and in need of some TLC it is very convenient for the main attractions , seafront, restaurants and shops. The availability of water and fresh fruit in the lobby. The hotel is also within walking distance to both Southend train stations.
it’s location is super. gorgeous views out over the estuary. We were very lucky to get a parking space outside which was free! only free parking spaces on seafront in town are outside this property. lovely little cafe below gif breakfast and lunch was a bonus.
Our room had an EXCELLENT view of the seafront, and we enjoyed watching the tides come in and out on Thorpe Bay. Staff was kind, caring, and flexible, as well as lovely to speak to. Breakfast was excellent.
The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. we did not hear any noise from the bar below. The staff were helpful and polite. Very central to town centre and seafront.
