From check-in to check-out we received first class service. The dinner menu was varied and delicious as was the breakfast the following morning. The ambience in the lounge was a great way to relax and unwind.

Small but perfectly formed. Like home from home with everything taken care of. Condiments, cleaning, more than adequate kitchen utensils. Very comfy beds and sofa and decorated so gorgeously.

Just what we wanted for a short stay. Comfortable, quiet, relaxing. A well thought out arrangement of facilities, within walking distance of the town, but above all a charming, helpful host that did everything to ensure that our stay was everything we had hoped for.

It is a stunning town, with great historical architecture, and all the shops have been carefully designed to blend in as much as possible. There is a wonderful array of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and a street market (which I missed), and I wish I could have stayed longer. It is very lovely to walk around, with wonderful views and buildings around every corner. I came specifically for the International Music Festival, which I enjoyed thoroughly. It is also an extremely dog friendly town, with many cafes, bars and restaurants welcoming dogs. I hope to return for a longer visit - soon.

Stamford is a beautiful Georgian market town with lots of things to do and places to visit nearby. Shopping is very enjoyable as there are plenty of independent shops as well as the usual clothing chains. The Friday open air market was excellent and there were lots of bargains to be had. The choice of restaurants and cafes was very good. We can recommend Amore for its Italian cuisine and Kancchi for Indian/ Nepalese food, but would advise that you book in advance if possible.

I love old character buildings and this certainly is a lovely old character building.
The location is good with most amenities in Stamford within a ten to fifteen minute walk.
On site parking is a bonus.
Would I stay again ? Yes, very much so, whilst there were a couple of little niggles overall I enjoyed the experience.

Easy to get around hills are gentle and manageable for those with limited walking. The Hong Kong Chinese restaurant is very good, but needs to be booked as tables go quickly. Street market on Fridays and a lots of boutique shops. The St Martins Antique centre offers a extensive range of interesting collectables.
Premium Taxis are very reasonable £3.00 from the High Street back to the William Cecil Hotel.

Stamford is a beautiful town with georgian stone buildings and the whole town built in the same stone. The town is lively with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants as well as lots of local shops. The river meadows are very pretty.
Close by we visited Barnsdale Gardens and Rutland water.
The cottage was really well equipped and comfortable. All we could hear were birds chirping and singing it was so peaceful. The garden was beautiful with a lake and ducks little garden rooms to sit in chickens and tucked away at the back bee hives. Thank you for the eggs and delicious honey. An ideal place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle although only a few miles from the beautiful historic town of Stamford full of shops and restaraunts perfect situation. Thank you for a lovely stay hope to return soon .
The proximity to Stamford Town center, it was 12 minute walk, with Private parking and my own private entrance.
The room offered everything I needed, a home away from home. Spotlessly
clean, light, bright and airy. Local art & images adorned the walls. Excellent provision of instant and ground fresh coffee, teas, sugars etc. loads of fresh milk, butter, jams, 3 options on breakfast cereals. Full size fridge, microwave and toaster. Rachel
popped in to say hello and check I was all sorted.
The location is so central. The hotel is stylish, quaint and chic but in an old fashion English way! It's directly opposite the church. The building is old and cosy. The garden terrace is surrounded by gorgeous flowers. (spot on for watching the Falcon taking off into the sky from the church).
Our room is quiet and nicely decorated.
The staff are efficient and extremely helpful.
A super and extensive breakfast menu.
This has made our stay in Stamford memorable (what a wonderful town).
Stamford is amazing, and this cottage was perfectly set so it was in the middle of town, but on a side quiet street. Claire supplies all these little things to make your stay better and the little things in many ways are the big things. She provided snacks, food, drinks, top quality shampoo, conditioner, skin care, anti bacterial, and even a full sized bar of soap. Very comfortable, really clean, all the modern conveniences, and wonderfully designed and decorated.
The hotel is situated off the main road into Stamford and it is easy to walk in to the town quickly. The check-in was very efficient and staff were friendly. The room was in an outside block, not particularly attractive but the room itself was OK. The room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good, as were the breakfasts.
Excellent room in a quiet location at the end of cul-de-sac a short walk past the college into the wonderful town of Stamford.
Great value for money with continental breakfast included.
Friendly, helpful host.
Happy to recommend this property for you visit to this wonderful town.
We enjoyed a fun and magical Christmas Eve and Christmas Day staying at Stamford Glamping Meadows. The Yurt was really comfortable for our family of four including two teenage kids. Amelia and Yogi were brilliant hosts and really accommodating. Thanks for having us!
Absolutely top notch. We returned for our 30 year anniversary that we spent on our honeymoon. The room the food and the staff were incredible. This historic hotel set in such a beautiful old town made our romantic event memorable beyond expectation.
Off road parking
Very clean and well maintained. Nothing felt old or used.
Close to town centre
It was almost half the price of my friends hotel room
Plenty of space, it's a whole house and a garden
Friendly neighbour
Perfect place. Five minutes from train station, and the George Hotel with lovely Meadows. Two lovely double bedrooms with well fitted kitchen, and fab sitting room on third floor with great rooftop view of Stamford.
Great location in a small village near Stamford, easy access to A1.The pub looked lovely though we didn't use it as we went out to dinner and needed somewhere local to stay. Would happily stay there again.
The most beautiful location convenient for Stamford Burghley etc The hosts were wonderful and super helpful. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful and exactly what we were looking for.
Very comfortable clean and impeccably maintained room. Very pleasant staff and good breakfast.
Excellent location in the heart of Stamford which is very lively at weekends.
An absolute gem. We loved our stay here. Beds very comfy and great facilities if you wanted to self cater. Stamford is a beautiful town. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
