This multi-award-winning hotel is a centuries-old coaching inn located in Betws-y-Coed, within the Snowdonia National Park. The Ty Gwyn Hotel has beamed ceilings and beautiful bedrooms.

The property itself is as expected because of its age. I liked the homely feel.

Plas Penaeldroch Manor is a delightful retreat nestled in the picturesque landscape of Snowdonia National Park. Our stay was nothing short of exceptional, with the manor's charming blend of historical elegance and modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The breathtaking views of the Lledr Valley from our suite were a highlight, making our mornings truly special. The on-site restaurant offered delicious breakfasts and barista coffees! Mike and Carrie were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. One of the most memorable aspects of our visit was the warm welcome extended to our entire family. Plas Penaeldroch Manor is wonderfully pet-friendly, and our children were thrilled to play with Lola, the manor's friendly dog, who quickly became a favorite companion. The manor's location is ideal for exploring the natural beauty of North Wales, and we enjoyed several scenic walks in the surrounding area. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a welcoming atmosphere made our stay at Plas Penaeldroch Manor truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this charming hotel for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Interesting little town with the Fairy falls within walking distance of the hotel.I The mill was really interesting as well with friendly staff and a few bargains spotted as well. The car park next to the river is worth it just for the relaxing sound of running water and the sound of birds in the morning

The rooms were next, and separate, to the pub and sports bar. We had food from the bar menu, which was beautiful. A great, and well priced selection of drinks is way too tempting! The hotel is perfectly placed between Betws Y Coed and Llanwrst and not far from Conwy, nestled in wooded hills alongside a river. The staff are wonderfully friendly and chatty. We, as a family, couldn't have been happier all round. Highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

A good base for walking in Snowdonia.

A good base for walking in Snowdonia. Trefriw is a quite village but there is a steady flow of cars through the village. The cafe was closed, the woollen mill was expensive. A good walk up to the lakes starts from the village

    Lovely village in great location.

Lovely village in great location. Lots of beautiful countryside for walking and sightseeing. Village has 2 great pubs serving food and 2 brasseries. The butchers in the village has everything you need a for a stay and lots of fresh produce. The post office has a smaller selection but very friendly welcome in both. Woollen Mill is worth a visit and the Fairy Falls waterfall above and behind the Mill was fantastic when we visited.
