We stayed in one of the little houses next to the hotel. Great because we had space for my husband and I with our two kids (14 & 9) and it was perfect for our dogs. Private and space for us all.

This hotel is in a quiet location, has a large car park with large spaces, Very helpful staff, lovely room, clean, large comfortable bed, we used the restaurant which has a good menu, the food was excellent. We needed breakfast earlier than the hotel offered. One of the girls was asked if she could come in early just for us, the reply was of course with a smile, the breakfast was lovely.

Lovely area and I think the hotel is lovely too just needs a few adjustments. I am sure there
Was no malice meant but we really did feel unwelcome. In particular the person who greeted us and was there at checkout was not very friendly and barely looked up from his computer screen. I am sure we caught him on a bad day but it really impacted our stay.
We stayed in 3 hotels over a 3 day period all were very good but the Bears Paw was the best, breakfast was included which we needed earlier than 8.00am they asked a member of staff if she could come in earlier, she smiled and said of course no problem and she did. Breakfast was good, we dined in the restaurant which was well priced and food was 1st class, The room was clean comfortable, large comfortable bed, the car park is large with plenty of large spaces for nice cars.
The hotel is set in beautiful and peaceful countryside and there are several public footpaths around if you enjoy walking.
It is also dog friendly. The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom. The food in the restaurant was very good with a large choice and staff were friendly and helpful.
We have stayed at the Bear's Paw several times and will hopefully return again. The hotel is very dog friendly (no additional charge for pets), the food is of a good standard (breakfast is included in the room rate) and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are always pleasant and helpful.
Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Hotel welcoming and food was good. Pet menu was interesting. Our dog had sausage tapas which was a little box of sausage type things (organic) which she enjoyed. Staff were very capable and responsive without fussing.
Having stayed at the hotel previously we knew what to expect.
The room was great and very dog friendly and the staff were all very polite and looked after us.
There was even a dog drinks and food menu.
we loved everything about this hotel and stay. It was extremely dog friendly. You could take your furry friend everywhere including the restaurant. Super, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
