The room was absolutely gorgeous, and very comfy with a lovely view. I spent a lot of time in the Veteran bar downstairs too and all of the staff and regulars were incredibly friendly! I basically got adopted by the lot of them. I was over for my friends wedding and everyone remembered that and asked how it went. I was only there for a week but it honestly felt like I'd known everyone for years, and I had a great time whether I was having a drink with people or just sitting quietly doing a crossword at the bar.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay in ryde I absolutely reccomend the veteran, even if you don't want to visit the bar (which you should!) the room is incredible for the price!
I also don't know why booking.com decided I'm from Cambodia, but I was visiting from Ireland!

Excellent suite room. Excellent customer service, very friendly and helpful. Continental buffet breakfast with served cooked breakfast. Good relaxed environment. Able to store our bikes safely overnight and park for free. Sea view at the restaurant.
