The layout of the apartment was just perfect. We thought that everything was exactly where you would expect it to be.
Very spacious and bright.
The location was good too, with Eastern beach a few minutes away from the apartment block, if you are disabled and in a wheelchair, they can accommodate your needs with a 'beach wheelchair..
This nose off can be seen from the balcony.
Regular buses are also a few minutes away from the apartment, where if you will be using the buses all day, a hopper ticket is the most economic way to do it.

If going to Gibraltar, do not worry about currency or language as 99% of the places accept £ sterling even taxis and everyone speaks English. Getting about on the buses is very easy but they only take cash no cards

There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar.
There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar. It is steeped in history spanning over 300 years with a significant military presence over the last 100 years. Main Street has a Miriad of shops many of which are duty free with a specialisation in Jewellery, spirits and tobacco and many electronic shops which are extremely reasonably priced. Some great beaches, public transport system and fantastic sight to be seen and a most impressive environmental protection area on upper rock with some fantastic sights across the Gibraltar straights to Morocco, Spain and the Mediterranean.

As pensioners some of the steepness which we obviously expected was sometimes difficult but always a good bus/taxi service. Really pleased we visited and already planning to return near Christmas. Excellent shops and bars something for everyone together with very friendly residents/workers. The Rock Hotel was excellent with a view over the harbour,good food and top class service. Overall a super experience.

We love the fact that you can walk to your accommodation from the airport if you so wish. We love the history of Gibraltar and the warmth and friendliness of the gibraltarians. Beaches , shopping marinas great restaraunts a charming square to sit and watch the world go. Awash with history and not forgetting the world famous rock and the resident maqaques. Gibraltar is small in size , and a keen walker like myself was able to cover almost the whole area on foot . Because of the time of year , the day trips to Morocco and Spain were not running . I did mean to travel to both , but as it was a "last minute" trip I didn't check on their availability . I visited many places of interest , and would definitely recommend taking the cable car up to the top of the rock . Set off early , and combine the nature reserve entry on your ticket . The rock itself is magnificent and the warm winter temperature was lovely. Travelling in January means far fewer tourists and no queues, which made visiting attractions easy. Similarly, getting into restaurants without reservations was no problem. Ideal for a history buff and a nature lover.

The room has a fabulous kitchinette, great for warm croissants or a nice cuppa. The bathroom is lovely and clean, plenty of towels. The room has lots of space and a decent sized TV. Has 2 fans too which were appreciated. So onto the host. She was simply 5 star. Gave us lots of tips, restaurants and bars and places to go. That really put the cherry on the cake. If your looking for a great value place to stay in the heart of Gib well congratulations you have found it!

However when we arrived at that time. They had been able to get the room ready already so we were able to check in well ahead of schedule meaning we had the day to enjoy Gibraltar without worrying about luggage. Its close to the border crossing and minutes from restaurants and town, good value compared to most Gibraltar accommodation. Just remember its a boat not a hotel room as it appears some of the negative comments were expecting, the toilets and showers are a few minutes walk away but are new. Great experience and would do it again.
