The hospitality of the family that run it and location were unmatched! Ermones is a bit isolated but the views from the hotel were beautiful and proximity to the sea and beach were great. We would highly recommend Philxomenia Hotel and are already planning to stay there again during future trips to Corfu.
The Sunset Hotel Hotel is located in Corfu’s borders, just 600 metres from Alykes Beach.

Staff were helpful and allowed me to check in late
They also ordered me a taxi to the port
It was ideal for my short stay but expected more facilities

Great hotel! It is located in a very peaceful area with an amazing Mountain View and spacious pool surrounded by greenery. Good location, Corfu town easily reached within 10 min by car. Big parking space. Big spacious rooms, big balconies and everything you need in a room.

Absolutely spectacular scenery and the nicest people at every stop. There isn't much to do but it is the perfect place to lay low and relax. Driving in the area is difficult, but better than the rest of the island.

Ermones is a quiet small beach with sunbeds at one end, and 2 tavernas on the beach. Taverna Maria was our favorite. The beach is pebbly but has lovely clear water, showers, and good snorkelling round the point.

Welcomed by the most lovely man and his mother who told us all the best bits about the area, where to go to get food, local touristy bits and much more. As there was no washing machine the hosts offered to do a wash for us which was very kind. We were delighted to see our room was cleaned every day which was a very nice bonus. Our room had a spectacular view where we could eat dinner and watch the sunset, overall spectacular stay!

Small resort suitable for people who want a quiet holiday in...
Small resort suitable for people who want a quiet holiday in picturesque location. Only regular bus to Corfu town (cheap and easy), so benefits from you having car hire if you want to explore. Limited places to eat, due to a couple of places not surviving Covid, so we spread our custom across four vevues during our stay. Recently opened Salado Pizzeria proved excellent, as did Spyros 97 Taverna (the 30 minute walk to next village for this proved worth it). Enjoyed the 5 minute walk down to Ermones beachfrom our hotel, but hill not great if you have mobility issues. Local eateries very friendly as it's not a big resort they get to recognise you quickly and remember you as individuals. Chilled out holiday we were looking for.

A lovely quiet, natural resort .
A lovely quiet, natural resort . Not much there bit thats what I like so why I chose it. Its just a cluster of hotels built into the hill around the bay. 2 tavernas right on beach- both good but my favourite was Taverna Maria. Great typical Greek food with really friendly staff and excellent value. They will even give you a lift back up the steep hill to the hotel if you want!
If you are looking for action and nightlife, shops etc then not for you but if like me you want a quiet, unspoilt typical Greek place-its perfect.

Perfect place to rest.
Perfect place to rest. You need a car to go around as there's nothing much to do in Ermones. But the sunsets are beautiful. There are two-three restaurants on the beach, and the food is very nice.
We had a wonderful 3-day stay at Villa Deza. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was bright, clean and comfortable. The owner has also a small supermarket & coffee shop right opposition so it's super convenient to get a few drinks to your balcony. At the end of check-out time, we even got free Ice Creams as a good-bye gift from the owner. So it's definitely best choice in the areas. From the villa, you can easily discover many different beaches around with a scooter or car.
We stayed in the family room with 2 bedrooms, connected with balcony with 2 tables and chairs sets. The kitchen had everything for self cattering stay. Everything was clean and prepared for guests- even tea, coffee, cruasants and local wine. The balcony doors with mosquitos protective net.
Outside nice and clean pool, table tennis and lots of books.
Corfu is around 20 minutes drive, nice beaches also 10-20 minutes drive. We enjoyed those couple of days here.
Unreal value for money. The rooms (we rented 3 of them) were spotless, nicely decorated and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The owners are very kind and also own a mini market and a cafe right next to the rooms, which come handy. We were 6 people in total and we all agreed that we are definitely coming back to Villa Deza next time we visit Corfu. 10/10!
- very clean and spacious room, sheets and towels changed daily
- well-equipped kitchenette, large fridge ideal for long stays
- very polite hosts and always available
- well-positioned villa with wonderful view of the sea from the balcony, quiet area
- enough private parking for all the rooms
- small beach, minimarkets, restaurants and short hikes nearby
Great studio with everything you need to self-cater. Kitchenette is small but well-stocked. Beautiful views over Ermones. I travelled by bus and it is very close to the bus stop, and can walk or take the bus to Glifada Beach if you don't have a car (though it would definitely be easier with a car).
The villa is located in a quiet area, near ermones beach. It has a beautiful garden and a lot of parking space. The rooms are clean and comfortable for the price they offer. It was a plasure to meet Fotini( the house lady), as she was very communicative, polite discreet and helpful in everything.
The view from the hotel is amazing. I was shocked at how beautiful the sunset is in this little cove and visible from your room if you happen to have a sea view. The room was spacious, beds clean and decor was simple. Staff were very friendly. It has a pool and tennis court and ample parking
The view over Ermones beach was very nice, especially at breakfast. Also at sunset, when the amber colours create a wonderful atmosphere. The bay only houses a few hotels and therefore it's perfect for people who want peace and quiet. There is also a nice tavern on the beach.
Staff kindness, food at the restaurant, sea view, swimming pool bar, beach down the road and cleanliness.
The hotel staff was very welcoming and always there to help. The service is of high quality. You feel like home. We would definitely recommend a stay at Philoxenia!
Wonderful discovery that this Philoxenia hotel! Ideal location in a little frequented bay, hight quality of the hotel, the breakfast and the swimming pool, and above all kindness of the Takis family who run the hotel and welcomed us!
Close to the beach and the bus station to Corfu. The room was comfy, cool (didn't even need the air conditioning). The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good bit it could be a little more varied.
Perfect location, quiet and peaceful neighborhood, close to beautiful beaches and Corfu town. The apartment is clean and good equipped. Host is very helpful, he recommended us many places everyone should visit!
The place is very close to the beach, the family is amazing, very warm people, very very clean place -they change the towels and linen every day. Seaview from every room. Seen one of the best sunsets ever.
We enjoyed staying at the property. The host Spiros was very helpful and friendly. helped us with beaches, restaurants and places to see... Children can enjoy the garden in the mornings and evenings.
All of the staff were so kind and helpful; the location is absolutely incredible, just a five minute walk to a spectacular beach; the food was great; the property itself was so peaceful and amazing
The hotel has a great view to the ocean. That is what I enjoyed the most.
The pool was also big. Exteriors of the hotel also great
Very friendly and professional staff
