A wonderful family-business, 4 generations working together in a hotel and authentic cuisine restaurant :)
Owners and staff are veeeeery friendly, kind, professional and provide excellent personal service to their guests. A restaurant is a central spot for the local community - so you know you are eating the freshest food, with the local's favourite owners :)
Situated at the town square, restaurant terrace provides excellent view of local farmers bringing fresh fruit, fish and produce to restaurants and stores every morning. Quaint little town with wonderful locals, very close to several beaches and interesting towns to visit. Tip: rent a moped or a car to experience the island ;)

The house was charming. It was a unique experience to stay in a tradional Rhodian home. The owners filled the house with family heirlooms and quaint touches that helped balance out the lack of comfy furniture. Hosts left us wine and homemade cookies.

Wonderful quiet village with amazing sea view and green forests for walk. There are a lot of nice view spots, a beautiful beach 15 minutes by car from the village. The most friendly people live in Monolithos. It is heartwarming being a guest in this village.

Spectacular views from a beautiful quiet village.
Spectacular views from a beautiful quiet village. Access to a beautiful beach but you must have car to access it. Several good restaurants but only mini markets so you need to travel 15 to 20k to get to a super market to support a self catering holiday

Ideal for people who like to travel away from the mainstream tourism and still want a very good infrstructure for tourists. Spectacular area with savage beaches, wild canyons, beautiful forrests and friendly people living their traditional hospitality. A car is necessary to get around and experience the beautiful region. It's cooler in summer (only 25-30) and must be fantastic in spring or autumn. It's never crowded and absolutely relaxed with a friendly atmosphere.

Local people and animals are very friendly.
Local people and animals are very friendly. There are 4 restaurants, 2 mini market shops available + a local product shop. It's a small, but nice village with a great view to the sea. There is a ruin castle and 2 beaches further along the road. Not too many places to visit, but this village is also great for staying in a relaxed athmosphere as a base location to discover the island.

I highly recommend getting off the beaten track and visiting the dramatic Monolithos Castle. It's famous for the sunset view but is worth visiting at any time of the day. Nice cafe at the foot of the hill.

The beautiful and quiet village of Monolithos is still...
The beautiful and quiet village of Monolithos is still comparatively little affected by tourism. Nevertheless, a number of good restaurants is available. Reaching the closest beach requires a short drive, but the sandy beach was clean and never overcrowded. Most parts of the island and most major sights are easily reachable by car, but I would consider a rented car to be a necessity as public transportation is very limited.
Great hospitality and very welcoming! Had a wonderful time staying at thomas hotel. The rooms are excellent with a brilliant view. Very clean facilities and easy access almost feels like staying at a private property. Geroge is very welcoming and helpful and monolithos was a great escape with amazing nature. Difficult without a car to access the beach and so but we came prepared with that in mind. The locals are great and the nearby spots are very atmospheric.
Our stay was simply perfect! Aspa is an excellent host, very kind and friendly, while she accommodated our every need. The property is very quiet, clean and cozy, we enjoyed sitting around the fireplace but also admired the beautiful view of the sea from the garden. It is ideally located very close to the beach and Monolithos castle. We definitely recommend it and look forward to coming back! 😃😃
Thomas hotel is run by an incredible host (Giorgis) and his staff, who is putting all his heart into accomodating you.
It is located in an amazing area, a quiet village with good vibes, excellent restaurants in walking distance.
Good area for hiking, visiting the beach and Monolitos castle. Amazing views from each room. We re sure to go back, as the time there stays in our hearts.
Good place to stay if You travel in southern Rhodes and want to get feeling of living in small, traditional mountain village. House has everything you need - a lot of place, kitchen with plenty of ware, shower, terrace. Very small, but good mini grocery shop (only one in Monolithos) with nice and friendly owner in 3 minutes walk.
Amazing view from hotel that is based in cute village with walking distance to castle. Great, kind and welcoming stuff. Everyone is so extremely nice and warm. It was a pleasure to stay there. Due to location of the hotel, temperature in the night falls a bit, so it is great to sleep there in the summer high temperature peak.
Monolithos is a beautiful quiet village location. The views from Hara house are breathtaking. The property is exceptional quality and the facilities provided are more than you normally expect eg beach and pool towels provided. There is an outstanding beach just below the village but you do need a car to get there.
A great and authentic Greek style hotel with unique stone-tailored rooms, the style supplemented by Monolithos remote peacefulness and the staff had a bit of Carpathian vibes, which only added the value :) They even have breakfasts, parking zone, and in-house restaurant. Highly recommend!
The hotel is beautifully decorated and very charming. The bedroom was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful at all times. Don't miss the breakfast with fresh and local products, simply delicious. There are good restaurants and shops nearby.
An unusual hotel in a small village, quite far from the sea, but with beautiful mountains around and very quiet there. We also found a cozy family restaurant nearby. The host was very friendly and kind, he even gave us treats before we left :) Very soulful place!
The guest house was nicely appointed with lots of history; the room was comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay. Parking was easily accessible. It's a great jumping off point to visit the Castle of Monolithos and Fourni Beach.
My family really enjoyed their stay in this lovely house. Plenty of room for the 4 of us, and it was lovely and clean. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Monolithos is a lovely quiet village, perfect for walks and relaxation.
Just a perfect, peaceful place, location is wonderfully. Hotel host, Georgios, was very friendly, helpful and an amazing personality! These place did my holidays in Rhodes, highly recommend for couples or solo travelers.
The view is Awsome, the staff very kind.
From my point of view, you should visit the southern part of the island too and I recommend staying at Thomas Hotel.
Very close to the monolithos castle(6 min with the car)
We enjoyed this hotel for third time in Rhodes island. Place is very clean and enjoyable. AC works perfect and view from balcony is wonderful. It is definitely one of best value offers you can find.
It is a very nice, atmospheric hotel that combines traditional elements with modern details.
I recommend rooms with hot-tub - is very nice to relax when is hot.
traditional breakfast was very good
Unusual and unique room, exceptional restaurant (rooster and pasta was delicious!).
Great scenery and very close to Monolithos Castle (we walked) which was well worth 3 visits in 1 one day!
Great local hotel, nice spacious room that can accommodate up to 4 persons, jacuzzi outside closed from the street view, great delicious breakfast, free parking near hotel
