Athineon, hotel in Palaiokhóri

Located in Nydri, just a 2-minute walk from its centre, Athineon offers accommodation with a terrace. Free WiFi is at guests' disposal.

It was a large family room with two rooms and a large balcony. We liked everything. The apartments are located a little further from the beach and the main street, but on a level road. The place is very quiet, it was nice to sleep. The manager was very friendly and helped in everything he could.

Nice little hotel, 5 min walk from the main strip of restaurants, bars etc. Breakfast was lovely and generally kept us going until our evening meal. Very clean and staff polite. The bar area on the beach was nice for a drink before heading to dinner.

Hotel Niras, hotel in Palaiokhóri

Within 250 metres from the beach and 1 km from the popular town of Nydri, Poseidonio A has a swimming pool with poolside bar overlooking the Ionian Sea.

Niras Hotel is a wonderful place that made our family vacation unforgetable. Everything is “super” clean and if you have a sea view room like us you will be amazed and left without words each morning… The breakfast is great and for sure you find something to eat each day. Do not worry about the parking, we found each day a place to leave the car just across the hotel. We did not miss anything during our staying or encounter any unpleasant situation. The hotel staff is always there to help you with anything if you need something. We recommend Niras Hotel! In addition, Chara and her mother were amazing each day with us. In the end… it is not just about the place, it is about the energy and the vibe that the place gives to you! So, Niras Hotel is not just an accomodation for the vacation, it is an experience with quality people!

I loved it as it was away from the main town.

I loved it as it was away from the main town. The only drawback was the steep access to the village but you got used to is after the first day. There is a lovely looking taverna - Dimitri's- although we didn't get to eat there :(, it smelt divine! There are a lot of roads like this on the Greek islands. I would love to explore the village more. You definitely need a form of motor transport. There are great beaches and small harbours all around the island. There are lots of water activities nearby , for both adults and children. There are loads of eateries to try, we had really good meals at the Garden restaurant in Nydri, Taverna Pantazis in Nikiana and Ladokolla by the archeological museum in Lefkada city. Lets face it, it is Greece, very difficult to get bad food!
