We loved the view over the roof tops and the partial sea view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and indulged my attempts at Greek for which many thanks! The breakfast was pretty good. We are vegan and it can be hard to cater for us but we didn't go hungry, and we provided our own plant milk. The hotel is very central but also quiet. A wonderful place to stay.
Situated on the quiet promenade of Sitia in Crete, Elysee Hotel is 50 metres from the beach.

Perfect location. Six minute walk from bus station,10 minutes from port.
Enough eating places for the scale of the town.
The room was clean with a lovely sea view and the reception lobby was comfortable and welcoming. We were able to leave our luggage in a secure room on the day of departure, until our ferry.
Adequate breakfast, too.
No faults at all.
Thank you

Sitia isn't of itself pretty, but the region that surrounds it is full of treasures from Minoan sites and geological wonders through to highly trekkable gorges and ravishing views. A car is essential and exploring is well worthwhile for the smiles per mile.

Sitia is a small town, not very touristy as it's so far east. You need a car to get to Sitia and it's not an easy drive. However, it's definitely worthwhile making the effort to get there as it's a lovely town with a great beach . There are lots of excellent restaurants overlooking the sea.

If you're looking for a not too touristic, rather quiet place (of course, worth the compulsory beach bars and restaurants area), not too expensive but still nice and with friendly locals, that's your place.
Not much to see/ visit in the city itself (not to say nothing at all) and also not the side of the island with a lot of stuff but I bet if you rent a car and go to Agios Nicolaos or the villages around you'll have a great time. Some stunning views on the way too!

I cannot tell if Sitia beach is good or bad, but on the eastern side of the island 20-30 km-s away there are fantastic beaches for sure.
The view of the town from the east is wonderful.
The stairs inside the town, with cats on them are charming.
The people are kind.
I could rent a car cheap, and travel around. I have seen nice places, for example the Toplou monastery...

Cute city, lovely beaches.
Cute city, lovely beaches. Kalamia beach had great vibes, music, best Greek yogurt.
Very very very steep and narrow roads. If you're not proficient with stick shift, get automatic or don't drive. Very scary to drive.
Otherwise if you are good with walked, great Greek village. Lots of nice restaurants.
Simple.
What a way to start our trip with such a great stay. This was by far the best hotel in Sitia. Its location to the town center was perfect; a 5 minute walk and you're in the historical town. We loved the size of our room; comfortable bed and huge balcony. The facilities are amazing; huge pools and plenty of beds. There is a private beach for visitors of the hotel which was also nice. We were amazed by the selection of food and the variety with the all inclusive rate. Everything we ate was delicious!
Fantastic find outside of Sitia. Just a short drive through the region’s olive groves and out to a spectacular ocean view! Fell in love with the architecture and stone design on the property- felt at home with many touches like a pizza and grill oven outside, many tables for outdoor seating, and VIEWS! Walked down to beach for a quick swim in the morning. Solitude and beauty - perfect combination. Windy at first but died down late night - part of the charm.
The apartment was exceptional, new, modern, very clean, equipped with all the necessary appliances one might need. The bed was very comfortable, and the place is sound proof, thus perfect for light sleepers like myself. The host was fantastic as well - making sure we had a relaxing and unforgettable stay in Sitia! We plan to go back there very soon! Strongly recommended!
Beautiful haven of peace at the top of a hill with a superb view on the sea and the city of Sitia. The hosts are extraordinary with a great attention that informs us on the sites to see, especially on the small beaches that look more like a paradise than the crowded beaches of Western Crete. The welcome is more than warm, it is like being in a family.
To really advise
Simon Sea view deserves its name. It has the best sea view from any Greek property we have stayed in.
We walked mostly direct from here, and on one day caught the bus to Ve from right outside. Flag it down. Pay on the bus. Plenty of tavernas in Sitia itself. House of Crete is especially good.
A rooftop apartment with magnificent views from its huge terrace. Super cozy and so comfortable. One lovely comfy bedroom and a huge living area/ well equipped kitchen with bed sofa if required.. morning breakfast on terrace or evening drinks or bedtime nightcap offering views of Sitia Bay.
Sitia is a lovely, not too busy town. The apartment was an easy walk.into town along the seafront. It was very spacious and comfortable. It had a balcony overlooking the sea the bed was incredibly comfortable. Swimming beach was very close. I would highly recommend this place.
We had the superior double room with the extra large roof top veranda. Location was excellent on the harbor front next to restraunts and shopping.. The breakfast was good but only cold items like boiled eggs, cold ham and cheese. The hotel has a private parking lot.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel very neat and tidy with 3 pools. Food a bit medeocre and simikar each day but plenty of selection and well presented, again staff very nice. Good short walk to Sitia town with masses of taverns to choose from.
Hotel rooms are clean with nice balcony. The staff is nice, friendly and always available. We also liked the parking lot behind the hotel. They also have nice pool area. We really liked our stay in Sitia.
Apartment 1 has wonderful views over the bay and the town of Sitia. Much better location than staying in town. On the right side to access Toplou, Vai and all the sites on the east coast.
Spacious, clean, excellent location that is just enough off beaten path. Safe for running and 1 mile walk to town so
You can burn off the amazing food on the lovely harbor in the town
Very close to beautiful Sitia and nearby beaches and villages. Quiet place, beautiful surroundings, 100m from the sea. Very friendly host and housekeeper. Cannot wait to visit again.
Ageras breakfast was amazing. Location was walkable to downtown Sitia and the beach. Would stay again and again here! Kitchen and fridge were great as well for cooking.
Perfect vacation hotel in perfect sea side town. Staff kind and forthcoming. Room spacious, clean with an amazing terace view over town and port and sea.
