Everything
It was a pleasure staying at Villa Ruza apartment. The home stay is situated in a beautiful and serene neighbourhood of Luka port. The sunset view from the apartment was so beautiful. The apartment was big and extremely comfortable. It was very well equipped with everything and very well furnished - it’s like living in one's own home. The hosts (Dario and Ljubica) were incredibly gracious and generous. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, offering home cooked lunch and dinner and refusing payment. They bought the Mali Ston Bay oysters, on our request, at a fraction of the price that restaurants charge. Their warmth and generosity made me feel like part of the family. They showed us their family photos and we communicated even though we didn't speak the same language. I highly recommend Villa Ruza apartment to anyone seeking a peaceful and comfortable retreat especially after the noisy and crowded Dubrovnik.

The apartment was great! It's modern and extremely clean. Amazing sea view from the apartment. It's also in a great location and very close to Ston and Mali Ston if you want to do some sightseeing. Highly recommend it!

Ston was an interesting place to break up the trip from Split to Dubrovnick. It was a disappointment as far as the oysters were concerned, being the oyster center for Croatia. They were just
extremely expensive and there were no deals to enjoy them at a
decent price. If we had more time we would have gone to an island
instead...

We really enjoyed our time in Ston, it is nice and small, yet full of amazing history and things to do. The hike up the wall of Ston to Mali Ston was great and not too difficult. Beautiful sights from the top!

Historic town with impressive (and impressively long) walls.
Historic town with impressive (and impressively long) walls. Ston is a much smaller, calmer, quieter, and more authentic version of many of the overly touristy walled old towns along the coast. Large sections are still not renovated however. The town has a few shops but mostly cafes/restaurants and locals housing. Lacks the luxury shops and glitz of Dubrovnik but also the crowds. A bit overpriced to walk the walls but presumably the entry fee helps with further repairs and restoration. The (still) working salt flats are interesting and they have opportunities to join in the harvesting. The city parking lots outside the walls are all paid which seems shortsighted and silly if they really want to bring in tourism.

history, great local wine and food, clear blue sea and no crowds; vacation as it should be :) the area is famous for oysters and mussels and many restaurants serve them from their own farms; not to be missed; the hike over the city walls (connecting Ston and Mali Ston) offers great views over the area, oyster farms, salt panes and isles...on both sides of the wall hike are very nice restaurants offer freshest sea food and light, local wine - just what you need on a hot day

Incredible place, very picturesque.
Incredible place, very picturesque. It’s small so one night is ideal. Check buses before you go as only a few buses go into Ston centre (number 15 from Dubrovnik) - but leaving to go north by bus can be tricky. We had a lovely time and are grateful to a local who dropped us at the other bus station in Zaton Doli for our onward journey to Split!
A very pleasant stay at Sorgo Palace. Wonderful hospitality, generous breakfast, beautifully designed room with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. Easy public parking. Excellent kitchen too. And a good value overall. An ideal base for a short stay, or for several days in the region (we stayed four nights and enjoyed easy day trips to Mljet, the Mali Ston bay and around Peljesac). Highly recommended if you seek a cozy hotel experience rather than an apartment self-catering situation. We'll return!
Ston is a charming little town and Ina and Ante are the most charming hosts in Ston. Their apartment is clean, spacious, with all the necessary facilities, located just under the famous Ston walls. Ina and Ante were most welcoming and gracious, provoding us with home grown figs and tomates, as well as home made sweets. We particularly enjoyed having a breakfeast on the terrace, under the shade of numerous Mediterranean plants and trees. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.
In the first moment it was dificult to find because we arrive late around 20:00 in November, but we were helped all the time by our host and his family. They were friendly, helped us out carrying our luggage and show us a clean and big apartment. We would recomend for sure. Nice views, well equipped kitchen, strong wifi, nothing to complain. We are really thankful and had an amazing stay in Ston.
Fantastic place in the pedestrian area of Ston, two steps from supermarkets and restaurants. Fully equipped, just perfect for a family stay. The property has been renovated recently with an excellent taste. The owner was extremely reactive to all our questions. Ston is a very good place to explore Dalmatia, cross to Bosnia or go to Mljet Island.
Beautifully and tastefully renovated little house set in a garden of Eden with grape vines, tomatoes in the garden and a mountain view as a backdrop.
Just a quick drive away from Ston and all its amenities (shops, restaurants etc) and well situated to visit the Peljesac penisula (as well as Pratprano beach, Mljet, Korcula etc).
Completely amazing! Everything - from A to Z. Very stylish, quite location, but walkable distance to the center of Ston. Beautiful terrace - loved our breakfast there. Completely worth the price! And the hosts are amazing - allowed us to pick some grapes from the garden.
Location was central on Main Street , excellent base touring around Ston and Mali Ston!
Apartment was very very clean , exceptionally well appointed.
The hosts Petra and Toni are so helpful and full of local knowledge.
Bicycle friendly!
The apartment has its own private entrance, it's well located, near Ston, but you need a car.
The value for money is really good, we even had a lovely balcony with a view, and the hosts are very discreet/mindful of your well-being.
Location of the apartments is perfect in Ston, it had the great view, very quiet and relaxing place. Owner kindly agreed to check us in early, and it helped a lot as we were tired from a long drive.
Very nice cozy appartment in the very center of Ston. Host arranged a free parking at any of nearby public parking lots. Room served breakfast was very delicious with a lot of choices.
Very modern and beautifully decorated. Large comfortable king bed. Hostess even let us leave our car parked at the property beyond check out time so we could explore Ston on foot.
Villa Radic was in an excellent location. We were warmly greeted, and the rooms were more than what we expected. We will stay here once again when we visit Ston.
