With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it offers the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try this than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur, while based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels on offer in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes your choice completely easy.
Went for the Dimash concert and it was awesome. The Papp Laszlo Arena was easy to get to and from due to the excellent public transport system. Lots of trees/shade in the city on hot days, plenty of cafe's/restaurants/bars to cater to all price brackets. Particularly enjoyed the dancing fountains on Margaret Island; the House of Music Hungary in City Park an exhibition space and open air theatre combined was one of the highlights of my trip, the permanent exhibition was fantastic. Plenty for history buffs but close to beautiful Buda hills for those who like to walk/hike. Nagycsarnok Market (nr Liberty Bridge) worth a visit. Best to book ahead if you want tours in a specific language, to save a wasted journey, especially in high season.
I hope I have an opportunity to return to this beautiful city, and spend more time with it's citizens, despite my very limited Hungarian vocabulary.

If you're staying longer than 72 hours, just take the 15 days-card via the Budapest Go app. It's just as expensive (cheap) as 72 hours card. So for 15 euro's you're covered for all public transport!

Budapest is a large city.
Budapest is a large city. We were there for 7 days but we could have stayed another few days. Transport is excellent and all the tours we undertook were very good. Not as pedestrianised as much as Prague but would definitely revisit in future. Walk as much as possible to see everything.

Prior to my visit, I was under the impression that Budapest could be fully explored over a single weekend. However, I quickly realized how mistaken I was; the city has far more to offer than could ever be squeezed into just a couple of days.
The soul of Budapest is vividly apparent in its vibrant streets, historic buildings, and the warm, welcoming nature of its people. From the stunning vistas at Fisherman's Bastion to the tranquil waters of the Danube dividing Buda and Pest, the city's scenic beauty is unparalleled. Budapest is not just a feast for the eyes, but also a hub for cultural activity, boasting an array of museums, theaters, and galleries.
It is a city that promises safety and a welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure.
In conclusion, Budapest is much more than a weekend getaway; it is a city with a soul and an array of experiences waiting to be discovered. Whether you are a history buff, a lover of arts, or simply in search of a pleasant and safe European escape, Budapest will not disappoint.
We chose this hotel due to its central location and stylish design and it did not disappoint. The location is excellent with a very short walk to the city centre. The hotel and room is very nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed especially is so comfortable. And despite its very central location the room was so quiet and calm. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice and made our stay memorable. If we would come back to Budapest we would stay there again!
This small apartment has everything you need for your stay in Budapest. The location is great with busses conneiing to the city centre just a short walk away. One of the best public baths with thermal springs is also really close. The apartment itself is super clean and the bed is very comfy. Check-in and out is super easy. The host is super nice, arranged for an early check-in and was overall super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!
Location is outstanding, right in the city centre, and all of Budapest's biggest attractions can be reached on foot.
Room was bright, modern and cleaned daily.
Air conditioning worked perfectly well, essential as the weather was very hot.
Iron and kettle were provided for me on arrival.
Breakfast was nice, perfectly adequate for a three star hotel.
All staff I engaged with were pleasant.
I had a great time in the hotel. A great place. The restaurant is the best. My waiter and the restaurant manager are the best. The reception guy was super-friendly. A great classic hotel to stay in a center of Budapest. A walking distance to the museums, their main St. Stephan cathedral and the bridges. The room is decorated in the Baroque style and had a mini-fridge.
Highly recommend.
Staff of the hotel are very friendly and supportive .
ot is located in the center of the city which is very convenient when you are planning to explore by walk.
the only concern is not related to the hotel but , to the parking . budapest parking is terrible system with cash only . every second the police came to check and photo the cars which didn’t pay for the next min.
Location is excellent in the city centre of Budapest, all main sightseeings (Parliament, Basilika, Jewish quarter, Buda castle, Danube river) are within walking distance. Close to bus stop, tram and metro stations, restaurants, bars, shops. The apartment hotel is quite new, room is clean and everything is there. Breakfast buffet is very good.

I spent 2 nights and 3 days in Budapest and really enjoyed. Hotel is not in city center but every facility is close to it, public transportation, ALDI shop, LIDL shop...
The hotel was roughly a 7minute walk going to the city centre, the room is very eco-friendly and classy and the intercontinental breakfast was good! I'm very satisfied with the single room I had as a solo traveller.

We stayed at this hotel for the second time and again everything was great. Everyone is so nice and helpful, breakfasts are great! Room is nice and silent. Location of the hotel is really good and you can walk to the city centre without using public transport. When we will go to Budapest again our hotel choice is clear!
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't imagine a better experience with staff at another hotel. All the facilities are up to date and the city centre location is perfect for a brisk walk in the city. Definitely recommend staying here if you are planning a quick trip to Budapest.
This is a wonderful hotel. It's a great location. The hotel is affordable. The staff was helpful. Check-in was simple, even for a group of 19.
It was a 5 star stay, and I will definately make this my first pick for lodging next time I'm in Budapest.
Very nice clean hotel....very kind people work there no problem for english speaking guests.parking is also very good and cheap parking compare to city centre hotels...... metro station Puskas Ferenc stadion is next to hotel.
Everything was perfect! Great communication, clean and tidy place to highest level and amazing service..The best place to live in all of budapest. Very Close to station, bus and city centre
The Crue was very professional and kind, the hotel is very stylish and classic, the best one for staying in Budapest. Right in the middle of the center of Budapest
It’s a nice property. It’s not the best. Budapest became very expensive in one years time. This hotel was a bit expensive but the best to be found for the price.
We are regular guests, still returning back when we stay in Budapest so it says everything. Very comfortable hotel nearby city centre with everything you need.
