Staff were fantastic. Layla assisted us with a driver from the airport and return Ferry tickets to Lombok, nothing was too much trouble. It was a great central location for a couple of days to explore Padang Bai and get the Ferry to Lombok. Restaurant food was good and an interesting spot to watch the traffic go by especially whole families on o e motorbike. And Layla and the staff make it a fun and enjoyable experience.

Great for overnight stay to catch the ferry the next day, via a 10 minute walk or as we had a lot of luggage we got a taxi. The room was a good size and although a little tired was very clean and tidy. Very little outside noise although not peak season. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really tasty and a good variety to choose from.

Fantastic villa / kind of private hotel with 3 women from the village taking care of house, doing the dishes, pool and garden. Making daily breakfast or (as we skipped breakfast) made lunch. We stayed with 2 people, so got one bedroom. Bloo Lagun beach for snorkling, with a small but fine warung, is on the other side of Padangbai (don't take a boat from the harbour, just walk or drive yourself). Our contact with the host, Emelia was very good, she helped and adviced us with driver/ taxi and the planning of some activities. Also helpfull when we needed a doctor. First we stayed a week. A week later, when our travel plans changed, we just decided to return for some more days. This villa is a good place to find some days rest during / after travelling in busy Bali or Indonesia.

Beautiful beaches, need own transportation which easy to access to desire location, quiet town during night, limited restaurant, if you plan for relaxing SPA or massage need to plan ahead of time, the shop closed early.

We had never heard of PadangBai and only visited to catch the ferry to Nusa Lebongan. Pleasantly surprised to find this small town offering good restaurants, live music (Omani Omang), good diving (Absolute Dive), and pretty scenery.
The negative is the amount of plastic garbage in the sea and on the beaches. I don’t know if this is common to the region, but I strongly recommend the communities make a concerted effort to clean this up. The plastic garbage was appalling and detracted from the ambience.

The pier wasn't as bad as expected although the condition could be improved considering it's very busy and frequented by many tourists every day! Be careful if porter scam as someone will approach you asking to help and will charge you in the end for the service. If you need an assistance, do agree in advance on the fee.
Do note that a harbor tax is compulsory at IDR10,000 per person.

We stayed at Padangbai to catch the fast boat to Gili . We got up early as the drive in showed us a very pretty part of Bali we have never seen.
This is a very cute little fishing village and gateway to Lombok and all it's Islands. The locals are very friendly and honest. My husband left his mobile phone in the taxi and the hotel called the taxi driver who had it back in 5 minutes (he was thrilled at the 100,000 Rp roughly $10 AUD tip)
There was a good selection of restaurants on the waterfront offering lovely fresh Indonesian and Western food we loved the Ikan Bakkat (fish in banana leaves) spicy and delicious. The Cocktails did not disappoint either and my husband welcomed a few cleansing Bintang Beers.

There are afew nice places to eat along the front we stayed 1 afternoon and night before travelling to the gills and that’s enough nothing to see here really. Good food tho in both restaurants on the front we picked and there was also plenty of people selling snacks etc at the harbour. It is like most places in Bali, chaotic with traffic and the people especially the harbour.

There is a small port town which is ok. A few beaches nearby
are a bit surprising given that its a busy port.
I would never return to this port, as Sanur is more sane. You will
be in line and feel like a hearded animal before you even get onto
the boat, try to avoid this experience.
FastboatGili changed our reservation, said it was overbooked
even though had a deposit in advance. Morning of boat departure
the boat company tried to rip us off...just be clear on what you paid
and your balance, dont be intimidated. The boats from here are generally
overpriced but not much you can do about it.
A beautiful homestay in a traditional Balinese house with its own temple in a central location. The couple who run it are lovely. Wayan picked us up from Denpasar for a very reasonable rate and also organised our boat trip to Gili Air. We’re very grateful for that because the process of getting a fast boat can be confusing. He and his wife also gave us good recommendations for things to see and Warungs to eat at for our short stay. I’d stay there again next time I’m in Bali.
Nice place, my room was next door to main building and was spacious and nicely designed. Drinking water in room, good shower, comfy bed. Staff were friendly, welcome drink and info received on check in. Breakfast was busy as everyone eating at same time probably due to the boats but the staff managed it efficiently and I really enjoyed french press coffee and having chia pudding as an option! Good location - recommend for a night or more in Padang Bai.
Such a lovely place! We were welcomed by the family, the made us tea & food as we arrived very late. we booked their transport from the airport and it was the cheapest we could find. The homestay was in a different location than we thought but they took us to the ferry port for free so that was no problem. The bed was comfy, it was extremely clean everywhere and the shower was hot. Breakfast was also nice :) We would definitely come back!!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was okay but overpriced in my opinion, I'd recommend Mimba's Food Corner 15 minutes away for nicer, cheaper meals. Location was amazing, my room was 1st floor and had a big foundation with sofas & a hammock on overlooking the beach and all the scuba/snorkeling boats. On the beachfront there are loads of restaurants which are fairly cheap compared to other places in Bali.
Villa Manouria is a gem. Everything gave me a sense of calm. I've never known Padang Bai in such a light. The room is comfortable, the garden is gorgeous, with a big variety of plants, there is a swimming pool. Marcel and the team were very, very helpful. You can tell Marcel has a big respect for Bali, it's people and culture. When I get the chance, I will definitely come back.
We like everything. Specially the nice evenings we spend with Marco the owner and the philosophical conversation we had with him.He is also a very good cook. The view from our room on the first floor was beautiful. Most people don't spend much time in Padangbai but its absolutely worthwhile spending a couple of days there if you want to experience the village atmosphere in Bali.
Location just next to Padangbai beach and harbour for speedboats to Gili islands. My room was big, with comfortable beds and big terrace. Stuff was very friendly and helpful.
There are 2 beaches - The Blue lagoon and White sand beach - both approx 29 minutes walking from the hotel. I preferred the White sand beach with many warungs and easy access to the sea.
Beautiful scenic, peaceful location surrounded by nature. Our room had a balcony that overlooked Padangbai and the surrounding hills and had a relaxing traditional Balinese vibe with modern amenities. My partner and I only stayed one night en route from Gilli T, but would have gladly extended our stay, time permitting.
Thank you, Marcel, for accommodating us.
They must have one of the greatest views in Padangbai and I could spend hours on the porch overlooking the ocean. You can hear the ocean waves while in the room! The bedroom is very spacious and the bathroom is very modern with great hot water. 15mins walking to secret/white sand beach and plenty of restaurants. A lot of options for a big breakfast.
Great hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. The location is very convenient, we were catching a boat, it was a short walk to the office of the company. The staff were all very nice and helpful. There is a very good restaurant in the hotel and the kitchen is open quite late, which was great for us because we arrived in the evening.
The family that owns this hotel are the sweetest people, so kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good and a nice full meal. Served on the roof top with a fine view and a sweet soft breeze which is a nice respite from the heat.
It is very conveniently located near shops and restaurants and the boardwalk and pier.
Bali 85 Beach Inn was in a lovely secluded location (under 10min drive to Padang Bai port) and the staff were welcoming, polite and friendly. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. It was a great place to spend the night before taking the fast boat to Gili Air from Padang Bai port.
Very friendly and helpful hosts - made me feel like a familiy member.
The house itself is a typical wonderful balinese family home. Great views from the top floor across Padangbai. A great breakfast and lots of good advice for my trip.
Wonderful place. Clean, great aircon, best wifi I have had in Bali. Terrific staff. Good food-- try the wood fired pizza! Convenient location in harbor. Fantastic diving instructor. I am coming back in 2 weeks.
We took this hotel just for a night as we wanted to go Gili early morning, Great location ,just 2 mins walk from the pedang bay harbour .
Very clean rooms and decent bathroom.
Very decent hotel for cheap price.
Clean, comfortable and cheap. Close to the beach and restaurants and bar. Very nice local family take a good care of the hotel, breakfast was always tasty. Totally recommend
