Nice large room and shower room. Very clean. Great view from the breakfast room. The breakfast was perfect for me; fresh fruit & natural yogurt, selection of cereals, soda bread, big selection of quality jams, peanut butter etc. Plus scrambled eggs on toast and good quality teas. Taxi back from town was E8 (paid E10). Quiet roads for walking and cycling. Very helpful owners.

Irene was a wonderful host! She took care of us when we got in late and made sure we got to a restaurant before their kitchen closed, and knew the best shops to visit the next day.

The house is conveniently located close to the village, but very quiet. It was warm on arrival, and the kids loved having a few channels to play with on the TV!
The beds were comfortable and had lovely duvets and blankets.
We'll be back again for sure!

Nice cozy apartment in the middle of Ardara with all mod cons.
Good place to explore Ardara, Glenties, Glen Colmcille, Sliabh Liag etc.
We had a nice meal around the corner in Mickalenes and then a drink across the road at the Beehive pub.

So underrated, I would wholly recommend Ardara to anyone looking for friendly, kind locals in Donegal. It’s a quiet town in the middle of the west coast, perfect as a base for exploring Co. Donegal. Nancy’s Pub is great in the evenings; Sliabgh Liag Distillery is a must-visit and Eddie Doherty is a local celebrity with his weaving skills! Reasonably priced Donegal tweed products - much more affordable than the other shop in town. The Courthouse (in the Heritage Center) also does delicious breakfasts and baked goods. The only thing I’d be wary of is walking along the road - the drivers speed regardless of the time of day.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. Parking in free car parks or on the street.
Good base for touring Donegal.
Main hotel Nesbitt Arms are taking in Ukrainian refugees so will be closed to tourist accommodation.
The Corner House & other pubs are lively on a weekend night, so it can be noisy on the streets after hours.
Mostly good pub food available - very few restaurants.
Absolutely loved this little apartment in the centre of Ardara, shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. Apartment was spotless and we had a really comfortable stay the weather was amazing which made it all the better. In addition to the apartment there is also a communal seating area to chill out on those hot days and secure parking on the ground floor.
We used this as a base to travel about various parts of Donegal. We did not need to contact Margaret for anything as everything was just perfect.
Atlantic Lodge was just perfect for our trip to Ardara. Unfortunately our trip was just an overnight on this occasion, maybe next time we will stay longer. The location was perfect for us and absolutely everything we needed was on hand. Lots of choice for the continental breakfast and friendly/informative welcome when we first arrived. This accommodation is very well thought out and could be a model for other B & B businesses else where. Hope we will be back in the future.
Woodhill House is a magical location, just a short and lovely walk from Ardara, a wonderful little town, and just a short drive to many wonderful beaches, including the Caves of Marghera which were stunning, the beach at Portnoo which was great for swimming. John and his son James (who tended the bar and poured an excellent pint) were great hosts and Helen, who served breakfast, was sweet and gracious.
The accommodation is extremely central with free on street parking. Aileen welcomed us to our lovely, clean homely room. We had full use of the kitchen facilities which included a coffee machine, kettle, fridge etc. Lots of food items were also given to us to enjoy over the course of our stay. The generosity and extra little touches meant a lot. We will 100% be back for another visit in the future.
Very cosy and clean room with a perfect bed, it seemed to sleep in 5 stars hotel for the quality of the sheets and materasso! We had a private bathroom right in front of the room but it didn’t disturb us at all, it was for our use only. A lovely breakfast with a homemade pancakes and a beautiful view completed a very pleasant experience we had in this B&B! Both owners are very friendly )
Great stay here. Irene was very helpful with everything, the room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Location was very central to Ardara village and other local attractions. Felt like a home away from home. Will be recommending to friends and family going too Donegal. When we are back will definitely stay here again.
I very much liked the location of the apartment, walking distance to Ardara town, but you must take care as it is a a busy road.
I don't advise you to do this in the dark.
Lots of information located in the apartment about taxis, restaurants and local amenities.
Very hospitable Karen and checking all is ok.
My sisters and I loved every aspect of this great flat.Perfect location for all Ardara's amenities, tastefully furnished and equipped to perfection. The owners, who came to greet us the morning after arrival, had thought of everything in terms of comfort and convenience.Thank you Paula and Bernie.
Irene is probably the best host we have encountered on our travels. She is very attentive and goes above and beyond for her guests. The house is clean, comfortable and in a central location to Ardara and Donegal in general. A brilliant atmosphere and perfect Irish/Ulster hospitality!
Nice restaurant in the hotel. Not expensive. Quantities more than adequate. Quick and friendly service. Not exceptional but perfectly fine. If your intention is to explore the area by foot, not much to see. By car and within 15-20 miles, beautiful beaches and deserted, untouched areas.
Nice cozy apartment in the middle of Ardara with all mod cons.
Good place to explore Ardara, Glenties, Glen Colmcille, Sliabh Liag etc.
We had a nice meal around the corner in Mickalenes and then a drink across the road at the Beehive pub.
A fantastic bed-and-breakfast! We visited in the down season, and had the entire place to ourselves, and the hostess was outstanding. We felt incredibly welcomed and had a fabulous breakfast. Would recommend to anyone traveling in Donegal!
Cosy and comfortable. Excellent central location in the heart of Ardara, a stone’s throw away from pubs and restaurants. Friendly and welcoming host, easily contactable. Good options for self-service continental breakfast.
Auntie B was warm and welcoming. the location was good for us, the room snd bath were exceptionally clean, and the Irish breakfast at no extra charge was excellent. we appreciate the value of this accommodation!
Beautiful home in quiet surroundings, but close to Ardara. The host family was lovely, made us feel at home right away. Delicious breakfast! One of the best bed and breakfast’s we’ve ever stayed at.
